  1. It's kind of vague/ What is it going to do that hasn't been done already?
  2. It consistently runs a little over 10K for both. It is strange that in the case of alcohol they target the person, but in the case of the mentally challenged they target guns. The government works hard to create criminals with more regulations and when they don't solve the original problem they propose more. Before anyone supports the present proposed ban, look and see what the last one, that was allowed to expire accomplished, and why it was allowed to expire. I still believe a license to buy is the best answer, not perfect, but it would allow stiff penalties because it wouldn't infringe on any law abiding persons right to own. It could in fact be a blessing for most as long as the gubmint didn't make sellers report every transaction, only record and keep the info. The common denominator in all the mass shootings wasn't assault weapons, it was mental illness. I know that in the case of the last 3, all were under the care of a psychiatrist, possibly all of them were, I haven't looked.
  3. Yes, and in fact you could put two on a site. Some of the campsites in 3 are in the sun, so choose wisely.
  4. But, but, we don't have ice Chief?
  5. What about all the kids killed by drunk drivers? Where is the blame there, the alcohol or the individual? The last three shooters, CO, AZ, and CT have had contact with psychiatrist and that is how you identify, but the question is what do you do about it?
  6. How are you going to clean the pasta maker?
  7. First off assault weapons are not the common denominator, but mental illness is. It seems to me that would be the area that needs some serious scrutiny. I would propose that some laws be passed that addresses this first. psychiatrist need to be relieved of their confidential information protection when they deem someone a threat to themselves or others. I think at that point the individual should examined independently and if they concur the court should step in and find a solution. The solution could be confinement or simply keeping the residence secure from harmful items. We have no mental health facilities today, at least not for patients who haven't committed a crime. The only change I would make to gun control, might be a license to buy with photo ID, or a check on a drivers license. A person would go through a background check and a check of his or her surroundings. If you had someone unstable in your house, no permit. If you have young kids you would have to have a gun safe that locked. I would probably put on the back that if you buy for someone else or sell to someone who doesn't have a permit, you do a minimum amount of time. There would be fake permits, but it would be unlikely that that very many mental cases would get them. There will always be a certain number of criminals who will get guns, but at least they aren't mass murderers as a rule. I think we need to treat gang members as an enemy militia force. If they identify, they leave themselves open to prosecution as accessories whether they were at the scene or not..
  8. Good grief! I don't know if I have the wrist to throw that bottom one on my 9wt.
  9. I did a search, but couldn't come up with the information on the official dives. The spring is nothing like it was decades ago. At one time it literally boiled and you really couldn't fish far from the edge.
  10. I think you have to start by asking yourself why your dad was doing better? Was it depth, suspending, vibration? There are ways to do this with a fly, if you tie.
  11. I agree Wrench. Duck hunting should be safe given the close quarters and the ability to know where everyone is.
  12. Well the island would be your best bet, It's public and has a fishing dock. A better choice might be Empire park and fish off of the dock there. MDC won't devulge stocking numbers, but it's not hard to figure out that Empire gets more fish. If you don't no where Empire is take 160 into Forsyth and turn right at the 4 way stop, it's on the east end of town. That road will take you right to Empire park. The best advice from what I hear is to use 2 eggs of different colors on one hook.
  13. Yeah that's what we need, another bench warmer. I hope they don't sink a lot of money into someone sitting on the bench. Obviously it would be better than paying a college bench sitter big money, AKA Cassel, I don't believe there is a franchise QB sitting on a bench anywhere. Orton was close and they should have kept him, but Pioli didn't make smart decisions. In one article I read Hunt said the big change will be that both the coach and the GM will report to him. I.E. Reid won't report to the GM, but if he gets a buddy in there it's probably apples and apples.
  14. Charles isn't durable to be in there every down if he's carries the ball much. If they get a QB who can read a defense and put a ball in the hands of a receiver while he is still moving often, then they can leave Charles in as a threat. If they have to run a lot than he can't handle it.
  15. If this is accurate, Reid is coming and probably bringing a whole crew, including a replacement for Pioli. If it matters, Tebow has a higher rating then KC's current QB's and Vick.
  16. I would imagine that with Hunt leading the search, Reid, if he does come, will decide the first and second picks at a minimum. Pioli is probably on the way out, as he should be and he's probably still there because Hunt doesn't want to do two searches at once and the coach is most important. If Reid comes to KC you can bet he will pick the QB.
  17. I believe they have been much farther then that, but I can't remember the distance. The spring runs back under the stream, that I remember.
  18. According to all the information available BS is 9' low and will probably stay that way until spring. They say they will generate this weekend so maybe this is the weekend to go.
  19. We had hoppin john. I always put celery in it so that covers the greens close enough.
  20. There will probably be a good starting QB, maybe more, come out of this class, the question is who?
  21. The only positive I see with Tebow is that with a bandaged line he can scramble well and that always takes a little pressure off the line. The QB class this year isn't all that bad, IMO, but all of them have that nagging panic syndrome and that is magnified in the pros. Landry is as accurate as any and has the arm strength, but he has to fight the panic button. I do believe he's the best pick because if a team can cure his tendency to panic early in the season they will have a winner. They can get the #1, Joeckel who just happens to be and OL. It won't surprise me if they don't go that route. They have to draft a QB though to please the fans, even if there aren't any surefire successful ones.
  22. Huh. When did Levy play him? His stats were better than Marino's, as I've said, but levy wanted to show he could win some games. Then Mackovic came in and by then Blackledge had gone cold. The sorry thing is that is the last time the really went for a good QB in the draft. The way they handled him wasn't that same as Marino was handled. In fact I think Kelly might have come out of that class. My point is that KC didn't go the distance with him to see if he would have developed. They knew going in they didn't have the line that would allow any young QB to build confidence. The line today is limping and not exactly a good one to start a young QB behind, especially the top ones available who are all prone to get excited.
  23. I wouldn't be surprised if KC didn't take the ND linebacker and then an OL before a QB. I don't think QB's are that much in demand this year and the Chiefs will have 3 picks to the others 2 early on.
  24. I would imagine this area is the first open water and fields they're seeing.
  25. That's interesting. I haven't heard much shooting this year so I assumed the open water up north was keeping the ducks there?
