I can't speak to the cabins, but the floats are pretty easy. For what you descibe I would limit the distance to under 5 miles.

I have a Tarpon 120 and a Pamlico 100, and an Outcast 800 pontoon, if I were heading to north Missouri to fish small waters, I'd leave the kayaks at home.

Can't run the lights they are talking about. Your best bet is to go to a salvage yard and get the reflector from a late model vehicle that uses halogen bulbs. You'll then have to do some shade tree engineering to mount and aim it.

I don't think the streambed is right for one thing, and the number of mature fish is small.

My worry rsBreth is that they are vulnerable to the Catch and kill, hence the wish they would close the streams to "keepers". Nice pics.

This is the one I was thinking of, and it probably needs repeating. It, unfortunately, didn't help the effort in Missouri as much as I wish. The problem here was Sarah Steelman and the Farm Bureau, overwelming the ineffective DNR.

I'd like to see some of the nice Smallmouth that are said to live in the river.

Dano I was thinking of the period in which Crooked Creek was the poster creek to illustrate the worst of the gravel mining damage. I still can see those pictures in my mind.

P-Lime CX can't be beat. Fluorocarbon coated for abrasion resistance, small diameter and strong. Its my favorite, and I've used a lot of lines I find this one is as good as any. Compare diameters and you'll see that a small diameter is one of its strong points.

That would be quite a coup, but it sure took a long time. Dan do you think there was any pressure from the national recognition of the problem that has emerged over the last decade or so?.

The Finley isn't alone and there are many small streams in danger of losing their Smallie population. I wish the MDC would close the season on them until there is some drought relief.

I wouldn't argue that, but that does not mean that the party has only one interpretation of life. I generally vote Republican, I'm pro life, at least within my personal belief of the emergence of human life, and I support the initiative. I also don't believe that the candidate exists that will fulfill every wish of the population, but we still only have a choice between two viable candidates.

So what are you saying, we should double the limit just for them? Don't know if that would appease Anderson and Maines or not.

I don't think that many fish the outlets with the intent to snag fish, although I have occasionally seen some who might. The think is that when you fish in a tight bunch of fish with the rod tip above, them the chances of snagging them increases considerably. I think if there was a buffer zone that pushed people back, snagging fish would drop quite abit. I have no problem with harvesting fish, as long its to eat, like Griffin said. I do think that we don't have to wait on the MDC to tell us when its smart to do so. Stream Smallmouth are a good example, they are struggling to find enough water, so they can use all the help they can get. I think a strictly C&R in the "restricted area" wouldn't hurt. Its already a very few that are tapping the bigger fish, but with 25 miles of no restriction available, its not much to ask to let a few grow as large as the biomass will allow.

No, basically what it does is allow you to run into shallow water without losing the prop. With the motor tilted you can into water about 3-4 inches or so deeper than the boat at low speed. You would then have to pull it over the shoals. They were somewhat common before jets. A lot of giggers had pitchforks strapped to the lower unit. It might be something to consider if you can't come up with a jet.

Not following you hank, health care and cure is an expensive proposition and its not all profit that makes it so. Liability escrows, research failures that don't generate any income are just a few. I couldn't personally look anyone in the eye that lost a chance at life or normalcy because I helped scuttle research that would help them. In my opinion its only Pro Life if you believe fertilization is the beginning, but thats debatable.
