I'm partial to hair. I like dark tops with a sparse belly, orange, chartreuse, or natural white.

OU has a lot of problems on offense. They don't have a QB that can really step in after Bradford and Landry. I think that is part of the problem, if not most of it. They also don't have a commanding WR. The two starters at WR are very good, but don't have the reach you want in at least one of them. I think that has Heupel wandering on his play calling, being conservative because he doesn't have a lot of high percentage plays in the book right now. Losing a 4 year starting fullback headed to the NFL didn't help either. Millard was probably the best FB in college this year. They lost their 2 defensive team captains right before the TX game and that not only weakened them considerable in the middle, that's why TX ran there, but it forced them back to a 4 down front. They didn't have the backup experience or talent to keep the 3 down. This made them change the defense mid season and with M Stoops as defensive head, that ain't what you want to do. That's what made them look worse than they probably are, but they would have had their hands full with Baylor if they had been healthy and had a seasoned QB, but it should have been closer. Baylor an outstanding team. They have a great coach and RGIII gave them that recognition that brings in big time recruits in a state full of talent. I dout they'll get to the big game, but if they did someone would have their hands full.

Yup you should. It's not that far if you take the highway 21 from Blue eye to Berryville. Most of the trip is 4 lane for you.

I was set to post that someone has resurrected them, but couldn't remember who. The two I have are the late ones, but I don't know if they are still being made. They resembled the Crazy Crawler in action but more subtle and quiet. I suspect a Jitterbug would still be deadly today if someone would just fish them.

Choosing The Right Jerkbaitand Methods To Use Them

My favorite jerkbait rod is also my favorite Sammie rod. It's a 5 1/2' casting rod, medium action. I like to fish them and walking baits with the tip close to the water and a short rod gives a person more control, IMO. -
Me too. It's almost as bad as the BCS poll, at least in trying to figure where it will likely end up. I've got Oregon embarrassing Stanford and that will give them the boost the need in the computer polls to move past FSU, who will then coast out the season and OSU will sit in 4th coasting to end their regular season. Stanford will have to bet Notre Dame, which has a bad habit of beating west coast teams, to stay in the top 10. Baylor could hang tough and stay ahead of Auburn and Mizzou, but they have some tough teams ahead. Auburn and Mizzou probably each lose another one, but Clemson loses to SC and I think that drops them out. OK will drop, unfortunately , after Baylor, Miami is probably stuck where they are at, SC could move up after Clemson, assuming they when and I think they will. TA&M can be beat by Mizzou if they play at the top, but they can't be ambushed by MS either. MS is one of those teams that can only be beat with an A game. The fly in the ointment could be LSU or Auburn beating 'Bama, that would ripple all the way down through the top 10. That's my crystal ball, but it does have cracks in it.

Mitch you need a ski boat with a pedestal seat and a TM in the front, but it AIN"T gonna be a bass boat! Also given the fact you won't use it as much as you think, look at aluminum Lowe, Tracker, etc.
-
Skeeter, Ranger and Triton would be what I would look for. I wouldn't look at Tracker unless money was an issue. I also wouldn't look at fish--skis. You can ski behind anything with a big enough motor, but fishing is another thing. The last thing you want when bass fishing is fighting a boat with lots of area for the wind to grab.

Well that depends. If you intend to make moccasins out of them it's better to cook well done.

To the best of my knowledge you can camp anywhere in the flood plain on a COE lake unless it is specifically prohibited. Obviously the area around a marina or campground would be excluded. There's an area on TR that is a low point and very popular with campers, the islands and the old ferry campground see campers from time to time. I'm sure Stockton has many areas suitable and outside of formal camping. I doubt that anyone would be around, or care, to tell you no if you're on a remote shoreline. At least not anyone with authority.

What is the tie breaker beyond no clear winner in the games.

The polls always have unanswered questions that defy reason. Why is Clemson ahead of Mizzou is a good place to start. Why is Stanford ahead of Baylor or Mizzou, or anybody near them. They lost to 4-4 team that should be 3-5! The undefeated in the top 10 should be at the top, they all play in legitimate conferences. Mizzou with its conference affiliation and the caliber of its loss considered should be the highest ranked one loss team. Unfortunately however when the human aspect enters, population is also counted in the rankings.

It's mitigation Jerry. They could have stocked smallies if they had understood the fish, but they didn't. It's now seen as an overprotected native fish. When they change the elevation of 3 reservoirs to accommodate a fish that has lived happily in their new home for 60 years, and even produced a world record, because they believe they are no longer happy, you know they have status.

I remember a Water Scout, but I'm not sure it's the same one. I'll have to look and see if I can find more. Update. They are the same. I don't know that I ever heard the Clark's however, if I did I've forgotten? I have a couple of them in an old tackle box that I've used. I like the action, but they never really produced for me for what ever reason.
-
No they don't automatically die like salmon. They do get a heavy dose of stress and I'm sure that magnifies the effect poor handling practices. Whether you play a fish soft or hard they still fight. Once these fish come to hand they don't have a lot left to overcome a lack of O2, only available while submerged.

Wrench is right, trout are primarily about silhouette and color, not details.
-
Old plug the rule wouldn't necessarily be state wide all fish. In the state I was familiar with it affected certain waters. In the case of Missouri it could be part of the trout regulations. They seem to be the most vulnerable, especially large ones. It would be easy to apply it too trophy areas and certain blue and red areas.

Choosing The Right Jerkbaitand Methods To Use Them
Wayne SW/MO replied to drew03cmc's topic in Smallmouth Talk
The X-Rap has been as good to me as any of the more expensive. This time of the year when the fish get sluggish on the take and fast reel down, 5-10 second pause, reel down, 5-10 second pause, etc. Gold and Ghost have been my best colors. I also like braid, because of the contact with the lure. You can't miss it if they breath on it with braid. -
I would imagine the Lucky 13 was there also. I vaguely remember the Paw Paw and it was a topwater similar to the Zara Spook I believe. I don't know that I ever heard of the Hawk. The River Runt and the Midget Digit were popular then so I would imagine they were used sometimes. I suspect the Oreno was likely the Babe because it was more popular on rivers I believe, as was the Baby for the Lucky 13..

There isn't any level control on the top side in BS as far as I can tell. As long as it has flood control room it's all good with the COE.

It's hard to find a QB that can't play better. I'm not saying Mauk is an answer, but you have to give him credit given the circumstances. Remembering he's a freshman and playing a team with a great record, putting his team ahead and then staying with a solid experienced QB, well can't ask for much more. I would question if he could carry Mizzou past MS or TA&M. On the other hand there's no reason to push Franklin with a soft team being the next opponent when they desperately need him to be 100% against the last two teams.
