  2. 😂
  3. Well in all honesty I'm glad it's over because now it's time to go fishing, be down through the week, plan on going over to meet up with wrench one evening.
  4. Can't resist sharing, picked this one up this morning
  5. Nice buck for share, thanks for sharing!
  6. Put the trolling motor down and put the rod to work & cover some water, going after the whitetail this weekend and will be down sometime next week, thanks for the info and good fishing to ya.
  7. Any word through the grape vine where the hybrids been hanging out?? Any word if they are catching any down by the bridge
  8. Now that is what I am looking for, any idea on the weight? Nice fish too
  9. Ya, last year the whites were all over the place, didn't do much with the green guys. Changes occur every year, all you can do is get out there and give it your best.
  10. I bet that is a bunch of fun, what kind of water temps are you picking up, lower 60s yet? you would think that the whites or " mutts " would be hitting it good, Maybe this cooler weather and cooler water temps should get em fired up??
  11. nice fish plug
  12. Should be able to fill your limit with whites I would think, and crappie also, I would think the large mouth should be good also, been a couple weeks since I was down
  13. Champ, any insight as to what you think may happen with this bait with a new manufacturer.
  14. Ya he is a slob no doubt, I can just imagine the calorie intake big cats like that have.
  15. Yes they are and they released them to live another day
  16. Buddy of mine was down through the week , his buddy caught these off the dock, pretty much across the lake from Old Plug. He told me the one was about 30lb and the other about twice that.
  17. When they are not biting
  18. My best spot is a 30 yard stretch of a bank in a small pocket, subject to change like anything else, but hasn't failed me yet
  19. The old saying wind out of the west, fishing is the best, wind out of east, fishing is the least or something like that, as far as the wind blown point, it is somewhat a misnomer but will head one in the right direction.
  20. The last 2 weeks I've been catching them in 12' of water about 6-8' deep and even in 8' of water in or around dock, caught some on back sides of docks in 6' of water, weekend before last on a sunny day I seen them suspended under the foam on a friends dock at midday, minnows have produced the big crappie for me, and they all have been very nice size. Good luck and happy eating!
  21. If you want to chase whites get some 1/4oz lipless crankbaits and some vibric spinners and put the trolling motor down and hit the windy points. Don't overlook windy banks also and don't think they will not be right on the bank either. Keep a spoon handy rigged up also. That's the fall technique I use and others at Loz in the fall. Of course your lure selection may differ. I've came to TR with that in mind and get sidetracked always on the bass fishing
  22. What I have been doing is when I fillet I don't go all the way down to the skin as in filleting crappie. I stay up off the skin so when I am done the red meat stays on the skin, I cut the red out of the middle and end up with one big clean fillet and another small one which isn't really worth messing with much, I throw all the little ones in a separate bag, be great for pickling
  23. I must have got them in a cooperating mood then plug
  24. You are correct wrench, i am thinking the reason they stocked hybrids in LOZ is to help control the overpopulation and abundance of gizzard shad being they have no natural predators
