  1. last fall at LOZ I was catching big whites on spro 110 in bone color, they were going nuts on it
  2. Mike, I read on another thread that you said you live in Florissant, Mo. I was born and raised in Overland, at one time after I was out of high schoolI was living in a small trailer court pretty close behind MidWest 4 Wheel Drive. Small world, good luck fishing and take care, Steve
  3. That is a nice fish, thanks for the picture
  4. Went back out this morning after the fog cleared and started to throw a jig, gave that up and went back to the wobble head and caught 3 more nice keepers including this nice smallmouth, stayed out till one and had to go back for the long drive home. Good luck to everyone. Pepe, I have been using a flapping hog, bifflebug & a D bomb junior
  5. Way to stick with it, sounds like a heck of a day
  6. I caught 5 keepers today, 4 this evening, keep on wobbleing. I always find it amazing how they can grab a bait, come toward the boat and be so darn hard to tell they have it. You really have to pay attention and hope it all works out. Going to fish for a bit tomorrow and then head back, All the banks I caught fish on have one thing in common, the type of rock in picture. Good luck to you Champ in the tournament next weekend, I'll send some good juju your way.
  7. Well we did a bit of fishing today and it wasn't fun, we caught 2 nice smallies, never measured them but I expected them to be 17" the wind is terrible, went back to cabin at about 1:00, going to try this evening again, Ned rig and grub, they are being tricky again with the wobble head when I can find areas when the wind isn't howling, days like this are tough for those that venture out but could also be rewarding. I caught some very nice fish late yesterday evening and after dark for a bit, sorry for no pics except for 1smallie. Seen one other nut out there besides us!!
  8. Good luck to you also, hope you catch a big one, some of the ones I caught were right up close to the bank, at or near transitions in the rock, others were out in front of some docks in a small cove, near main lake point, they are definately on the move it appears. Have Fun
  9. Nice fish
  10. Fished today, got out about 11:00, had to get some rest from the drive down last night, took me a while to try to figure things out, caught some short fish on RC, then went to wobble head and ended up with 2 keepers, I lost 4 nice fish, It is amazing how they can grab that bait and you don't even know they got it, caught only a few shorts on it. Some on pee gravel others on where rock transitions in size . If I said I have a plan for tomorrow I would probably get burned but I plan on using that swing jig. Good luck to you all.
  11. nice report, glad you got them
  12. Blue & white 96 Champion 150 merc, if I come up that way I will stop
  13. Ya, if you find some extra time that would be great, I am trying to get a fellow I met down there a few years ago to come down, I helped him out a few times down there as he is fairly new to the lake, and have become friends with him, anyway, Good luck to yas!!
  14. Thank you champ for the info, much appreciated, will be down Thursday evening thru Monday, if any one is around and want to get together for a chat send a P.M. Good luck fishing!!
  15. looks like the weather may not be as bad for Thursday, shows low 50s this morning
  16. Champ, is the water still real dirty in big creek and by chance do you know if the water is any different in clarity near campbell point. Thanks.
  17. it seems everybody gets there turn sooner or later, that guy Murphy, always shows up at the worst time. Good luck
  18. nice fish, & nice pictures, how is the water clarity up there??
  19. Thanks for the report Mr. babler as I have a 3-4 day up coming weekend planned, hopefully the info will help with being able to get a couple close to the boat.
  20. I was surprised that Lews doesn't offer the tournament pro any more either, I think they are a very good real, I reckon the new G series has replaced them, the last one I bought a few months ago was on eBay, granted these are not budget friendly reels either, not to get off topic.
  21. Very nice
  22. didn't throw the shakey head today heh?? I wonder if the swing jig should come into play, I was down at the pond below the house yesterday throwing the senko and they were tearing it up, granted it is a smaller body of water and probably warmer I guess, sure looking forward to getting down. Good luck!!
  23. sounds like you had a lot of fun, very cool picture of the eagle
  24. Skunk is just like Murphy, always shows up at the worst time.
  25. Don't give up delta kid, I fished table rock for many years, working and trying to figure things out on my own, long before I new about this forum, keep fishing hard, read these guys post, ask questions & tell these guys what you learn and didn't learn. It can get frustrating but every day you go out and have little luck you learn more about what doesn't work, then when it does work out it is even more rewarding. Also I see you are fromBelle Vista, I know of a couple fisherman from down in that area, only met one, but if all indications Are the same of that individual as the other fisherman from down there you have a heck of a bunch of good guys that will help you out, just get to know them a bit. Good luck to you & Good Fishin!!
