    Boat

Keep a good coat of wax on it & like they all have said, vinegar and water, takes all the water spots off and keeps hard water from building up. I tried a experiment the other day, have read that bar keepers friend, stove top cleaner with a scotch brite sponge will Clean glass shower doors like you wouldn't believe & they were right. I am going to try it on a inconspicuous spot on my motor. I believe the paint is baked on on the lower cowlings, so I'm thinking it may work. I'll let you know what I find out. Tried it & does not work.
  2. That explains the tournament boats I seen yesterday
  3. we went down Tuesday afternoon, fished the evening and did real well and Wednesday morning and caught a nice mess of big whites, right up by the bank, no wind, go figure. Threw a bone colored jerkbait a bit and caught one about 3#, then found a new area up by the bridge and caught quite a few on a spinner bait, no wind, put they were smashing the bait. If down today i would be out in that wind with a spinner bait and jerkbait, thinking could be a good day.
  4. Last well at LOZ the whites I caught were back in the creek right up next to bank so I'm sure the shad are there. Water temps are about the same up here
  5. Last year at this time I was throwing a spinner bait & square bill & having a blast. We need some weather fronts, anything besides these bluebird days. The way it's looking it's going to be December before the water temp goes down. Finally got the boat out last Monday for a short trip to LOZ, everything ran well and managed a limit on some nice whites, couldn't take it any more and a buddy and I are at LOZ to see if we can't get a few more, bluebird skies and light wind . See what happens, good fishing to you all.
  6. Nice bunch there, get some venison this weekend and be back next week to go after them again
  7. That is by far the funniest post I have seen. Thanks for the laugh '76!!

  9. Where, at LOZ
  10. You got me!! Or should I say they got me!! That is a ridiculous expensive part. Was wandering if you run your business out of your home wrench or do you have a shop. I was going to call you today, I got done cleaning fish and it started raining and figured I would head back, I have to work tomorrow. The plan is deer hunt next weekend and back to lake weekend after that.
  11. Made a quick trip down this Monday morning, first time out since transom repair. Had a oil warning module go out & a head gasket also, but all done and runs great. Put in @ Coffman & headed to Indian creek. Had limit of whites early in the morning, caught them all right up near the bank.
  12. Good luck to ya, catch a bunch
  13. Last year I came down a few times in the fall, one particular weekend, I believe it was just before Thanksgiving I put the boat in in the back of Indian creek at night, once I got the boat in I was using a flashlight to get organized to take it down to a friends dock when I caught a reflection in the water, I used the flashlight to see what was going on & there must have been a million shad everywhere right at the surface. I told my brother in law I don't know what to expect in the morning. when we went out that morning there were no shad anywhere and we caught whites & a few hybrids all day in Indian creek & the gravois right up near the bank. You never know where or what the heck they are going to do one day from the next at times.
  14. Plug, I've been wanting to come down but have been reluctant to, I have been wanting the water temps to come down some. At Alhonna it is showing 68 still, what kind of temps were you picking up. Would I be wrong in saying that I think they will move in towards the windy banks if we can get the water temps down? I planned on coming next weekend but I am thinking of going deer hunting and waiting for the following week. Been a weird fall with the temps so high. Your thoughts!
  15. Look at what has been going on at Baylor. No morals left in this country, it's a shame.
  16. Looks like they are working hard to get what they have, thanks for posting
  17. Oh ya, I understand that, same as the rut, the shorter days are definitely the trigger, cooler temps and cooler water would help ,it's just that I only have a couple vacation days left and would like to put as many odds in my favor as I can. I wish I lived close so I could go often as I like. Good luck to you!
  18. Good luck, I hope you catch a bunch, have a great time
  19. That's funny Ben, I guess I should have been more specific as the remarks I made as being comical. My apology. Your quick response shows your devotion to your project! Great work again. LOL
  20. I have been keeping my eye on the one he put at Alhonna Resort at LOZ. I think it's broke, it hasn't changed in weeks. That is a great tool you put out there for us been, much Appreciated!!
  21. It wouldn't surprise me Champ, been waiting on the edge of my seat to go, just haven't pulled the trigger yet. Be patient, stay calm, I keep telling myself.
  22. That is a good idea, I have a handful of them and really like them.
  23. Do you think the lake temperature will ever drop Quillback? Been crazy this year
  24. A buddy of mine got back Sunday and said they caught them also. Told me they would surface in the evening & said they would stay up for almost a hour, filled the livewell quickly, now when I say a hour he told me they would come up, feed, go back down & repeat this over & over in the same general area.
  25. It seems to be the going thing at times, that's for sure. How has the bass fishing been lately?? Any comments you like to share
