  1. I hope not, as the Hwy 13 (Kimberling) area is my stomping grounds. Bo: Be sure to put all fish caught in the Hwy 13 area back, no need to transport them to Eagle Rock, especially those brown fish. LOL
  2. That is a good day. Nice pics. Looking forward to several days of fishing this weekend, and early next week.
  3. Cool. Let us know how they work out after your fishing trip Friday. Good Luck
  4. Good looking reproduction jolicious! Do the blanks you used have internal weights so that they sink slowly like the duo realis spinbait 80? If they don't I suppose you would have a suspending spy (jerk) bait with front and rear props. Interesting.
  5. +1 Hughesy. There is no question in my mind that color does matter. Is the water color and visibility the same in all lakes? Do colors of baits look different as depth of water increases? Is black and blue a better color for muddy water? Are natural color lures better for clear water?
  6. Thanks, those are all very good colors. Great job designing the paint and color choices.
  7. Always good to get reports on the spybait. I haven't thrown it in about a month, but better get it back on the deck just in case. How deep were you fishing the bait?
  8. Good info Hughesy. Are the new colors a BPS exclusive or will they be available elsewhere?
  9. Good fishing QB. The numbers of fish being caught up the White and the Kings is really good and should get better. I have been struggling with numbers in the KC area, but the few I have been catching have been nice keepers.
  10. +1, very nice work 24/7.
  11. I meant to mention in my previous post, that the square bill has been my go to bait the past few weeks in the Kimberling City area of the Rock. I have caught fish on other baits, but by and large the SQ bill has caught the most keepers. LM, SM and K's have been eating these. I have been throwing shad pattern colors. Good Luck.
  12. Strike King 1.5, Bandit, and recently Excalibur. I first fished the Excalibur over this past weekend and was very impressed with the action, hook quality and realistic paint. I have looked at the Academy H2O's, they look great and are a good price. I may try them.
  13. Way to get after them guys. Slaying them with the blade, good stuff. Speaking of fellowship with other OA members, we need to have another get together. Maybe have a cookout somewhere so we can meet and visit other members.
  14. That's funny Hodge. I too follow Pete as his reports are usually spot on with no BS. My favorite thing about his video's is Gizmo, his dog. I will never forget the report where Gizmo was dragging his rear end on the front deck of the boat right next to Pete. He must have had an itch. I wonder if Gizmo left any stains on the boat carpet? Pete was trying so hard to stay with his report, but lost it when his wife behind the camera started laughing.
  15. Thanks bo. Forgot to congratulate you on the 6 lb plus LM. A true Rock lunker these days.
  16. Nice Smallie! Thanks for the report.
  17. Nice catching! That is better size fish than has been reported in some time. Are you slow rolling the blade or working it faster?
  18. That is a decent Fall fishing day for numbers, but sounds like the better fish are still out deep. Lower water temps will help the bite.
  19. Good going Fishrman. Perfect example of how to get kids involved in the outdoors and fishing.
  20. That is a good afternoon's fishing. Thanks for the report.
  21. Congrats on the newly found time away full time work Danger. I loved the short jokes. Now go get after those Table Rock Bass!
  22. Wacky rigged Senko! Way to go QB that's the way to adjust and go with the cards you're dealt.
  23. My bad Thumbs, I quoted the wrong post above.
  24. I bought them at Hobby Lobby when they were on sale for 50% off. I wanted the rustic wood look, so I went with those. Also purchased some canvas and glued it to the existing backing, which I think was black. I wanted the different size boxes because I put the lures of the same type in the same box. The number of lures and how they were arranged in the box determined which size box to use. The project was well worth the time and effort and was very reasonable with the 50% off deal.
  25. Nice double on the TW Quill! You had a good day. I agree with the other posts, let's hope the stick bait bite and late fall/winter fishing is good up shallow. I grow weary of trying to hunt them down in the deep water.
