  1. Good catching, nice to see some brown fish and spots in the mix. Watch out for the wrapped boats they will be catching and hauling your white river fish down to Branson!
  2. Congrats on a successful trip.
  3. Those are neat. My granddaughter would like them, she's 3.
  4. You have got to be kidding me! Next thing ya know they will make a 3 foot long cotton mouth snake wake bait, that sells for $ 300.00. Can't wait to monitor TW website on this lure to see if anyone post a review.
  5. What part of the lake do you want to stay on? I suppose your guys will be launched out of the State Park. I would check with Phil Lilley on Taney. His place is about a quaint as it gets, and a very nice place.
  6. Get to feeling better Champ. Go fishing and relieve the stress. Congrats on the new Stratos Fishrman, good report from the upper end. I bought an 06 Skeeter ZX 225 a few weeks ago. Fished out of a 17' Lowe aluminum boat for the past 3 years, and boy what a difference. I'm just getting too old to take the pounding on my back. Will look for your boat out on the water. Mine is Red/Black, so stop by if you see me. Snake, your report is more like what I suspect is going on up the Kings, but as Champ mentioned you might hit them shallow on the right day and time and get some size and numbers. Bill, Good info as always!
  7. I will take em whenever I can. First cast, last cast or any cast in between.
  8. No stripers in the Rock that I know of, but plenty of white bass. Fishing in recent weeks in general has been tuff to say the least. I don't fish the long creek area much, but the K city area has not been kind to me lately. Starting to see several large fish show up, but numbers are not there. Some others on here can give you some advice on the lower end. Enjoy your stay, Phil has a nice place.
  9. Very nice looking baits. Hooks, heads, and skirts are look to be good quality.
  10. Thanks Seth. I had a 728 that I used for a few years, and it is great finder. Went to the 597 for color, maps, and down imaging.
  11. Thanks for the pics. Looks like a great set up for your boat. I am leaning towards mounting the RAM on the deck close to the center possibly in front of the trolling motor pedal. Thanks for everyones input.
  12. The only down side I could see by mounting up on the front skid pad is the lack of room up there. The Skeeter front is not very wide up there, and is a good place to step when enter the boat after launching. I think the Ranger has more area up there. If it's not too much trouble send me a pic of your set up. Thx
  13. Shipper, are you referring to making a sheet of aluminum to change the existing flush mount opening to correct the viewing angle?
  14. Great report. Congrats on finding a great crank bite. Good to hear the water temp in the 50's.
  15. Good points balsabee. Thanks for your input.
  16. Great batteries at a good price.....can't beat it.
  17. Good fish Gitnby. What water temps are you seeing? Appears to be a female, fins are all tore up.
  18. I have seen these, and watched a you tube video on how to install it. They are a great looking well built product. Seen them at Tackle Warehouse. If I had a larger screen unit to put on the front this would be the way to go. What pro's and con's do you see in this mount?
  19. Just bought a 2006 Skeeter ZX225. Currently have a 5" screen lowrance unit flush mounted in the front console. The only problem is the angle of the graph is too flat, which makes it difficult to see the unit unless you are right on top of it looking strait down. I have a humminbird 597 hd ci combo that I would like to mount in place of the lowrance, but don't want the same problem seeing the unit. I am thinking of using a RAM mount attached to the forward front deck on the right side opposite of the trolling motor. Any thoughts or other suggestions would be appreciated.
  20. The revised version of "C" looks good, therefore I vote for "C".
  21. I agree Sprint. The angler that is most versatile and can forget what caught them yesterday or the day before will win. The winner will be skilled with numerous techniques that work on highland lakes: crank, blade, jig, grub, sticker, and all the finesse stuff. The pro's will smoke them unless the worst possible weather happens. Hard to predict where the majority of the fish will be located until we see what the water temp and conditions are.
  22. I think you are referring to Stacey's finish in the FLW Beaver Lake derby in 2011 I believe. He finished 3rd or 4th, just barely out of winning it all. This was prior to FLW changing the event to early spring instead of late winter. I remember watching the final day weigh in.
  23. Glad our house is on the south side so we can get to the Filing Station. Love that place.
  24. Spend your BPS gift cards on a BPS Med action 7' crankin stick paired with a pro qualifier 5.3:1 ratio reel. This set up will provide the right action for wart fishing, but may be too light for larger and harder pulling cranks. May need to consider the MH 7' crankin stick. Would prefer Lews reel, but for the money the pro qualifier on sale is a good deal.
  25. Can't get enough of Ned.....huh Dave?
