  1. For sure a golf hat "COBRA". Loved my Cobra driver I had several years ago. That big front deck serves another purpose other than a casting platform. ZZZZZZZZZZ! Were you guys on the lower end? Thanks for the report and pics.
  2. Very nice Bigmo. Good job of mixing up the baits and presentations. What was that little feller thinking, the spoon is as big as he is?
  3. I have a 2006 Lowrance LMS 334c, transducer and power cord. I don't have a clue what it's worth. Send me a PM if he is interested.
  4. Thanks. very similar to what I use when power fishing the C rig. I also use a spinning rig finesse C rig, 10# braid with either 6 to 8# fluoro/mono leader. Smaller baits like the fish doctor, tiny brush hog, small finesse worm....etc. Similar to split shot rig.
  5. Very nice outing and pics Hammer. Very nice fish qualify, those you caught don't show any signs of the spawn, they are very clean. Curious about your C rig. What is your set up, heavy bait casting gear or the finesse spinning gear set up?
  6. Great topic and some good information. The fish we catch are a resource that we enjoy while we are able to fish, let's take care of this resource for other generations to enjoy. Good point and thanks for posting this Jim.
  7. Welcome to the Forum rw. That 5 lb fish on the jig is a very nice one. Hopefully the catching will improve as the weather becomes more stable and warm later this week. Appreciate the report.
  8. Very nice report Frank. Love those Father and Son fishing trips. Congrats on the new boat, sounds like ya'll got some fish slime on the new carpet, now it's broken in. Glad you guys got some fish and I'll bet the little rig will do some damage to those Northern smallies.
  9. Very nice numbers for 4 hours fishing. Thanks for the report.
  10. Dave, Enjoyed all of your reports these past few weeks. The timing of your trip was about right, other than the pesky rainy cool weather. Glad you caught plenty of fish and that last brownie you mentioned above was icing on the cake! Have a safe trip home. Catch you next time you come to the Rock.
  11. Thanks for the report from the lower end. That area has been producing good for you.
  12. Not trying to answer for Dave, but from previous threads he uses 6# seaguar invizx fluoro to work the Ned.
  13. Good info on the water temp reading at depth. Thanks for the report.
  14. Brown fish, meanies and K's, what more could an angler want. Sounds like it's wave after wave of fish either getting done or heading in to start? Nice report and pics.
  15. Jeff, Sorry about the one that got away, that would have sealed the deal, but all in all a good day of catching. That run of consecutive fish on the sticker must have been exciting. Also great reports Sprint and Fishrman! Got to love the fluke bite, but not when they don't eat it good.
  16. Nice brown ones. I get it now on the braid vs fluoro.
  17. Agree Trophy. The advantages out weigh the dis-advantages. Doesn't take long to re-tie the leader once you get the hang of it. What I can't stand is the line twist and wind knots with mono or fluoro, as you know the little rig spins a lot and causes problems. For me I am going to keep experimenting with it. Ham: You make a good point about using mono instead of fluoro as a leader. The stretch factor with mono is a good thing, since the braid doesn't have any.
  18. Awesome catching Dave! Would be interested to hear more about Don losing the braid? I have been experimenting with braid and a fluoro leader with the 1/8 oz Ned. Seems to be working good for me, less hassle with tangles in the wind, cast a mile and great for feeling those light bites.
  19. Watermellon lizard, WOW. Heck of a day. Congrats, that is a day to remember.
  20. Way to get em Dave. I realize the weather has been, well spring time on the Rock. It hasn't slowed you down a bit.
  21. What a great kitty Donna. I would have been forced to break out the fillet knife on that Dude. Great weekend of fishing!
  22. Good day of fishing and for a good cause. Thanks for the post.
  23. Must have been great fishing with your Dad. Keep taking him out as long as he enjoys it, the memories will stay with you for ever. Jeff, great report, pics and good catching!
  24. Excellent report, pics and darn good fishing. I would say you have certainly figured out a few things about the Rock. Glad you had a great trip and I really enjoyed the quote, that pretty much says it all about why I love to fish!
