  1. What part is needed for the boat to connect to the 12 volt adapter/cigarette lighter set up? Is it GP or after market. The batteries are okay for most things, but not for shooting hours and hours of fishing. Good point on turning the camera off after catching a fish, I do that also.
  2. Agree abk, just got started casting lead jigs and bought my start up products from Lure Parts Online. Great stuff and arrived in good shape and quickly. Just placed another order with Barlow's and Tackle Warehouse (great mold prices). Thanks for the info on Nixa hardware twoarkies. Nixa is not far from the our lake house in Lampe. I have been looking for a good price on some lead.
  3. Thanks ab: I have two batteries and an adapter that charges using the receptacle in my boat. I was looking for a way to wire directly from the boat receptacle to the camera, but based on what your saying you are just using more batteries.
  4. Nice work with the GP. It takes a while to figure everything out, but your doing good. The main problem I have had with mine is the battery life. Hard to just leave it on until fish are caught. I use the remote to start shooting when I hook up, but have very few shots of the bite and setting the hook. Do you know of any better ways to keep power to the camera? Thanks for posting as that's some good fish catching.
  5. My biggest problem is keeping the carbon blown out of mine since I putter around at 3500-4000 most of the time. This is how I roll also. Makes for a much cheaper and more pleasant day. Maybe a little hammer down for a mile or so on the last run back in just for kicks. A little WOT at the beginning and end of the day is good!
  6. Interesting!
  7. Excellent intel Dock and figuring out the deep bite. I don't think the majority of the bass have vacated the deep locations, but some have disbursed and moved to shallower staging locations. These fish wander even shallower when we have warmer weather patterns and based on recent reports are being caught with jerk baits, jigs, grubs and Ned Rig.
  8. LOL! Gizmo must not have cleaned himself very good after the last poop! There have been several vids that stars Gizmo doing the front deck crawl. I wonder how often Pete has to get out the carpet cleaner?
  9. Very nice report Alex and great catching on some good toads. Always good to hear the stick is working. Love to catch them on it.
  10. Good looking boat, for sure a Ranger look alike. Mid 60's speed won't cut it with most guys that would buy a boat like this.
  11. Believe it or not Hack was seen fishing the Ned on some docks across from Mill Creek in the KC area during the Table Rock derby last year. He was putting some solid keepers in the boat. He is one of my picks also. Very good jig fisherman and equally good with a variety of baits. Ashley, Davis, Pace and McClelland are also favorites to take the title.
  12. Very nice Meanie QB. Congrats on the SLAM also.
  13. Good looking fish. That kind of day will build your confidence on the stick, but you adapted and caught most on the flutter spoon.
  14. Slaying the Whites, that's some good action.
  15. Nice find. Loved those bagley's.
  16. This time of year can be very frustrating, but when you happen to hit the right conditions at the right time it can be magic. Thanks for the report, Hope you get them big time soon.
  17. QUOTE: He also made a great point about jerk bait fishing, fishing the bait behind the boat. This is a technique that Buster always does, and the way I caught ever fish I caught the other day on the Stain Reaction. That bait was just trailing me and I would just turn its head. Every bite came when it was just sitting. I struggled the other day with boat control trying to fish the stick bait on a heavy wind blown bank. I was on fish and managed to catch a few, but was not presenting the bait properly. Pete's tip and Bill's mention of his experience in his post are the solution. By keeping the nose of the boat into the wind you can control the movement of the boat and therefore of the bait, hence the bait is trailing behind the boat. Great tip Pete and Bill!
  18. Fishing the little rig strait down. There is no end to the ways the Ned will catch them. Looking forward to all the cookie cutters getting big and fat.
  19. Very nicely done Bill. As another post mentioned, you had tunnel vision and were dialed in to what the fish were wanting. Great pics also, sorry to hear about the big LM, but you can only hope she made it.
  20. Glad you got to get out and fish Alex. Good to hear the crawler worked for you.
  21. Good days fishing jay. Thanks for the post and pics.
  22. Very nice toad Spot Quill.
  23. I will be chasing them in the KC area. Haven't been out in a while, really looking forward to some good winter weather fishing.
  24. Thanks for the heads up. I may have to make a trip down to Fayetteville today.
  25. Good point denjac. I suppose at what they had reduced the price too, the guy thought he could make a buck or two. I just wanted to see what they are since I am not familiar with that brand.
