I believe the biggest part of it us somewhere in his home. I am sure he would like to show it off. He comes from a fishing family. Let me know on here if your ever gonig to be in the LOZ west area and I will see if he can show it. I have never seen it all.
  3. what does the kraken do exactly.
  4. I never seen one with screw on weights. I just use little lead stick on strips on all my stuff. They are real handy. I do not always use it to suspend. I offent use it the slow down how fast it rises. I am really sold on those Little strips.
  5. for all you wiggle wart finatics. I just visited with a friend who is a lire collector a d just looked at a board with what looked like at least least 50 wiggle warts hanging on it. old wart and I do not know what else there were some I never seen before.even acouple of the tiger striped. I told him I understand that there is a big rush to buy them. he ask me how big. Isaid like a white bass school on a feeding frenze. He still not selling. he has many many more lures of all sorts.
  6. I was not sure where it was i was hoping for his sake it was on the other side. but he wont have to drive arounfd in a few more daus he can walk accross the ice.
  7. Release the Kraken ??????????
  8. I was just googling the 81 mm and I found out there is some business there called The Old Oar. I do not know if that is the place but you can google it up. I think they are a private bar and what have you. you might run into a ramp fee with them.
  9. there is also a huge flock of pelicans. must be 50 birds in it.
  10. Forecast thru next wednesday Today 32/11 snow Tomorrow 29/13 Thurs 29/9 Fri 29/20 snow Sat 33/19 Sun 27/17 snow Mon 32/10 snow Tues 24/2 Wed 23/3 Doesn't that just warm your heart. i would say the chances of the lake freezing again are almost 100 %.
  11. It is my understanding this law covers control of a lot more than just conservation. It is a good example of what happens when any one party controls to much of the legislative branch. Now all tou need is a executive bramch controlled buy the same party that controls the legislative branch and they will roll right over you. Its not important anymore to do the right thing or the best thing. It is all about doing the party thing. There are far to ,any in this country would love to see that.
  12. If you use them at the right time and the right way they will. why not. what are you doing with a whole box full.
  13. i do not hate wiggle warts. i just had my way of fishing them. i might try the real fast retrieve sometime. like i said before i might have some out in one of the plastic boxes somewhere.i just do not use anything anymore that has a lot of resistance in retrieve. ican tell you this though lures fix into categories. You should understand and everything they can do. I have caught a lot of bass on wiggle warts on the slow retrieve I di not say I did not catch bass on them with a slow retrieve. but do not think it is a all around thing that is just like nothing else cause its not.
  14. cars and fcatching fish are a little. different
  15. Merc1967 that was a very good point. You might be able to take a nice vacation if you sold your old ones on here.
  16. I never really worked one fast. that is why a lot of mine were weighted. I liked to hop it and bump it over the bottom.
  17. The winds been blowing this way all day wrench I was down on the dock for awhile it is not to fragrant down there right now with the shad piled up in my area alone it would seem
  18. It depends on their behavior.
  19. sounds like a definition out of a fishing magazine. In real life there is no definition to what and how you cast.
  20. I am like you Jerry. They been really limiting out on the something besides fish for years. Somethings bite like a white bass school on a feeding frenzie
  21. Chief. The guy I mentioned mentioned in the above post and his system of what he called skipping is a good example of trying to define what we all might do a bit different. I have never been able to master that whatever it is and he has moved far away. But I have never seen anyone else do that. If was something he just picked up more or less natural. Lets face it ,why worry about what it is as long as it works for you. I do not worry about it. I go fishing number one to enjoy myself and number two catch fish and not worry about proper etiquette and form in my cast.
  22. Of course glass eyes also right wrench. What about eye lashes and lipstick also. I am fooling with some eyes on a gar lure. they are big and buggy. when you see it wrench please do not have a orgasam.
  23. Mitch i am sure you can pitch. Like I say I do it to conserve pressure on my junky shoulders. But i do think it is very accurate. When you first start out it is well to have a rod and reel that match the lure weight your trying to pitch. Not to stiff and not to limber. After you do it for awhile it will not matter. I do most of mine with a fast reel with the backlash function off and a well educated thumb. The line is leaving for the target at a gentile rate of speed so its not hard. a.so when the lure hits the water your in immediate control since your thumb is on the spool. if the reel is fast enough you can just hold the lure in your finger with the rod straight out from you body and let itI swing down giving it a gentile upward movement with your wrist at the right time and the lure will almost float out to the target. line skipping is really a all together different skill. it require more power than pitching. my pitching never comes in low to the water. I have a friend that throws jigs etc thru the openings in the flotation on docks. from 10 to 15 ft out all he does is hang some line down from the rod tip and swing the jig out. he throws it in such a way that the line and jig are in a arch that would look like it would lay the jig down at a a inch or so inside the opening. but because of the way it is going the jig passes the opening and the line hits the bottom of the dock frame between the floatation. This causes the jig to rise up and pass a lot further into the opening. When I see him doing that it seems so easy and smooth. Let me tell you it is anything but easy. i have never mastered it and gave up trying. He calls this skipping. But its something between pitching and flipping. I have seen anyone else do it.I would just call it Lee's way.
  24. You guys be careful about that Bill . Believe me I have had a few surgery experiences and there is nothing and I mean nothing like when the surgeons mess with the bones. I have had torn rotary cuffs in both shoulders. The left one has never been worked on. I have done the rehab on it myself much to the surprise of the bone Dr. But last summer I injured it three times. I think what you got maybe is early arthritis that in turn makes it a lot easier to tear a rotary cuff. I would avoid the A rig as soon as the shouldef starts bothering you. But I know you guys won't. Fisherman never seem to have enough sence to slow down. I have not learned it myself and I am in my mid 70s. Mine got so bad last summer I had to hold my left arm against my side to even cast with the little light spinning rod I was using. The boating of those little 12 inch kentuckies I was fishing for was a painful experience. I finially threw in the towel at the start of October. I have twin downriggers and two grandkids I am think about trolling the a rig. I think the extra drag would add to the trill of catching the fishfor them . I myself would not like the drag of the rig confusing the fight of the fish.
  25. I have never used a A rig someone told me it is not all that good up here. I have though about it but when i watch people who are using it there seems to be a lot of resistance when reeling it. that would not work for me very long.
