I do not trust any of the new media. I check everything happening. As or right now there are parables in hostory that I will not repeat.
-
About all iI skip are unweighted sinkos and a few other plastics. My tackle and set up is so far out of the box as to be unvelievabe.I use a 7ft medium light spinning rod that would be better suited for crappie fishing with a average medium sized spinning reel on it and 15lb test braid. Maybe next year I will go back to using a heavier rod Still not sure a bait casting reel is required. 15 and even 20 lb just sail. out there with a minium of effort. Briad does not twist up either like Mono.

Use what you got. just adjust them for dlipping and pitching. My self I like them real fast forcvoth those applicarions. Can flip nd pitch withleastamout of pressire also use a spinning rod a lot for fipping pitchin g and skipping stuff like waxky worms

quilback------ Just do not baby it. I have beeen through knee replacement three times. Last one was a revision. Much depends on who the surgeon was did and your own rehab.. First time I done both and I had a real bad time with the left knee. It failed finally and I went to a surgeon that teaches hip and knee replacement at MIZZOU. Took him less than 2 hours to do the revision and I started walking on it around the house in 2 weeks. It was pain free in about a month. Those bone guys up at MIZZOU are really something. We may have just been born a few years to early Quillback. They have found a way to grow cartilage up there and process it into various forms and replace cartilage. They have allready done some of this on a limited basis . I go back To MIZZOU the 28th to have a left shouoder replaced. The surgeon is another teacher at up there. Ham the replacements are not infinite 20-25 years is a real good run. Depending on your activities. You guys fhat fish a whole lot need to be consrvative with your casting shoulders. Lots of guys around LOZ in there 40s and 50s have complaints about their casting arm.
-
Really on LOZ it is a waist of time and gas. Every good bass fisherman I now on LOZ fishes throughly. Ive seen much written about finding the parttern then just repeatng it. I have come to believe however that there might be several so called patterns on any given day. The people I know depend on things like time of year and natures elements to get them into the places the fish should be. They get that from learned experience. One guy know used to go so far as to record all the conditions every time out and refer to them religiously. I have no idea if he still does that. But it must have helped since he won a National FLW title.. Only time I would have made a long run to find fish was in the winter, Years ago we used to call that the Milk Run. If a fisherman knows where there are rocky points with sun on them in the afternoon he might do very well running and gunning. He might be covering 40 miles or better in a couple of hours. He is going to need a fast boat burning a lot of gas to do so. I will sit back and pick my conditions to fish.

the onlybthing I do not like about 2 peice rods is the furrel gets loose if you use them day in and day out. I just glue them together when that happens.
-
Well champ they should be happy you share your knowledge with them. You do not need to tell them how to fish in your spots. your are a honorable man. When the subject turns to where and when I have no honor what so ever.

I use that rod because it is very easy to flip and pitch light weight sinkos behind a dock. i use 15 lb PRO braid on it. because of the mustle factor. I flip , pitch and skip it easier as well with no twisting. Admittedly using braid that heavy is not for everyone. You got to understand the limits of your setup. I can tell you on several ocasions though I have nearly wrapped that rod around a cable fighting a larger bass behind a dock. I base a lot of what I believe in rod prices on what I see in a local tackle shop. It does not seen to me that there is anymore failure in low prced rods or in high priced rods. Matter of fact what I see nearly all the time is angler failure to use the rod properly.

I and my neighbor fish together a lot. he has several St Croix rods. When we are fishing sinko type worms he is using a 7' med light action spinning rod and I am using a $39 Cherry wood the same size. I have used both several times. I must say I donot think there is a dimes worth of differance in the two. His St Chroix Does not recieve the punishment my Cherrywood does.

Waltef I am going to tell you rght now. your congressman or senator at the national level does not give enoughvof a darn about your problems. Only way to really give them into action is get the Media interested in YOUR problem and views. and let the congresman know your talking to the media. Your just yourself. The media scsres him.

what might have have made a Masterpiece at one time I believe you could have Agnew to paint the animals and had Lilly's buildings and land scape painted into a winter scene by Tomas Kincad. My he rest in pease. In case you never heard of the Name. He was called the Light Painter. I know someone bought a small painting from him many years ago. They keep it locked in a bank vault.
-
Maybe the structure you were fishing is wrong. Find steep channel banks and fish them docks or no docks. work everything along that bank that is unusual unusual, constitutes a break in bank line or is protruding from the water along that bank. Small or large. Last week believe it are not I caught a keeper off a 1" water pickup pipe hangimg down in the water, off the bank and came back the next day and done it again.

l passed thru Gravois Mills a few hours ago Gulls are one thing but there must have been close to 100 pelicans up there. Looks like the flock is getting bigger than the last time I went thru last Monday.

MAN!!!!! do all the females out here use tthat same rotten phrase. " I thought you was going fishing" I really believe they turn away smirking and giggling after that. I wonder where they learn this stuff.

I believe it will. I had water surface temps in my area of 59. I will be out there as long as I can. Water seems to be getting real clear in my area. I am stil following the shade. I have used nothing but a wacky worm or trick worm on creek channels skitering and what not. I just love to fish those things on my 7 ft spinning rod with 12lb braid. That can be a thrilling experience behind docks and around cables wih a 16-17 inch keeper on there.

I did not male it out till about 4pm. way to late for a day like Tiesday. That is way to lake for this time of year and weather. All Ingot was one 12 " kentucky. I had to repair my big foot foot switch first. By the time I got to my spot I only had time for about 10 cast and the cold wind got to me. I love tofish cky or trick worms this time of thecyer sometime skittering then on he surfce nd letting them fall. Today Ibam stuck iin Herman and tomorrow Ingot to go to Ladue for thanksgiving. I have made it clear to my wife we are going home tomorrow night( see how not having to worry about any punkin pie lets you be more assertve Wrench) so I can fish Friday.

I second that 100% I had mine in there last year. REason was( and pay attention to this pro bass targa owners) when a bought my 181/2 targa from Pro bass used cheap frame type battery trays in the front batery hold. over the period of years those battery boxes leaked droplets of water from vibrations , bouncing etc that gathers in a hidden corner then ate thru the battey hold and down into the hull. Last year it developed so many leaks the boat would take on serious water in just a couple hundred yards of running. I could see not damage and took it to Outback. They inspected it visually and could find nothing. They took the floor out and filled the boat with a mix of water and backing soda. Then all the pressure cracks were revealed. There were far to many to fix so they took two large peaces of 90ga alaum and welded them over my 100ga bottom of my boat. so I now have 190ga bottom on the boat. They arethe best aroundhere by far. They have aweb site where they display a lot of there work

Yes Phil shut it down. And you my friend Wrench be careful about those posf. If you do not I will send a E-mail to Reamie and tell her to not let you have any punkin pie.

I am going to bend the subject a littlle bit. How important is the length of the light of day to fish biting. I am just wondering what you all think. Myself I am convinced daylight length is the most critical element of fish behavior.,
