Old plug

I use a few dIfferent brands of Big Worms. One of the best here on LOZ for me is the BIg Bite brand. Most of my worms or in browns and greens and afew like Zoom are in Red Bug and Plum.

I wanted to go out real bad uesterday evening but the shoulder is bummed out pretty good. May try or snyway this evening down bu the moith of the gravois.

Gavin that is true. Our culture does not work that way. A lot of people think they have got to have everything even if it about drives them into the poor house.

Manny ----- Right now there is a hell of a lot of nice ones. Hard to take them on lures. The shad are soooooo thiick. Nothing and I mean nothing compares to a shad and nothing smells like one. You can be assured they know the difference. Saturday night my son and his wife were down for Fathers day. We fished off the dock under light. My daughter in law insisted on getting 2 dozen minnows. We never caught anything on a minnow. With shad we had caught in my little net we caught somewere around 25 crappie between 12- 13 except one and it was about 11. I am a firm believer if they are feeding like they are now on shad they are in bo mood to play and your going to have a hard time with anything else. But just wait till they eat there way through these things. Looking forward to that very much.

Weekend Warrior......I do not fish deep much with heavy weight. I find a lot of bass in deep brush over 20 ft that has slipped off of where it was it was brushed in . But rarely use anything heavier than it takes to get down to where I am going. I love hair jigs. they tend to fall a lot slower that skirted. But you still get the benefit of the weight when its down plus I think the hair helps avoid some snags. If I had my druthers I would uae my 5/16 oz hair jigs with a baby brish hog trailer on it. Just absolutly love that setup on on 10 or 12 lb mono down to 20 ft or better. Father down slower it sinks.

Wrench has always had good stuff. I watched him win tournament after tournment for years. i would not be too surprised to see him return to it. I like to fish deeper water. if you do catch me in a shallow area you can about bet your bottom dollar there is deep water close by. I will fish bass in water 30 ft or more. I use plastic worms and jigs of any size almost exclusively. Mostly I use the larger worms from 10--12 inches and the smaller jigs from 5/16 down. I cannot remember the last time I used a weight over 1/4 oz on any of my worms. Except when I use them on drop shot. Then it is 1/2 oz and up. Because I fish deep water does not mean I catch all my bass deep. If I know there is a holding spot deep I will cast the worm out and let it sink over it. I catch many bass holding in water over 30 ft at only 5 to 10 ft. on a lightly weighted worm. The trick here is knowning when they rise to feed. I also like to crawl my worms and jigs too accross the tops of brush piles very slowly with a lot of action to draw the bass out. I can spend a long time on the top of a pile of brush and not get snagged. Its all about balancing the worm or jig and line its fished on plus the weight of the sinker. It is what I do and do best. At my age I am happy and satisfied with doing that.

Mid gravois is still in pretty nice shape. But that can ahanve real fast with a drawdown.

Chief and Dave------- I know more than the average about how septic systems work But it would be interesting if Terriman or some expert could really post on here exactly how septic system work and what happens to the affleunts after they enter the ground. Here on LOZ there is a push to sewer systems. Morgan County serwer district has done has done seversl hundered on the west side of the gravois. On the other side. The Miller County sewers district just started on installing sewers to 1600 homes. I have had them myself on the west side going on 2 yrs now. It is really the only answer. Treatment plants must be state of the art as well and return water is 100 precent bacteria free. In other words it is sterile. I think the lower part of TR is suffering from affuents because of all the post i see on here about moss. There was a discussion about it and there were post saying it was from people fertalizing their yards. Maybe in part but you really need to have some expert some expert on here post about Quafers and how they work with ground water. This water quality is a nation wide issue.

I DECLINE------- I spent over 40 years with DOD and DA. They run themselves no matter who is in charge.

omega jig bass ----- Brushing is real hard work. fish there awhile and you will find a whole lot of brush pules naturally. Building brush pile does not guarantee success. Even with a good one you got to fish it at the right time.

Well as a aternative this tine of year maie yourself a rope lyre and go fish for some Gar. I can guarantee you some real thrills. just be daredul in your handeling. wear a very thick glove. those things have 4 rows of teeth. 2 rows in the mouth abd 2 rows of thard to see sticking out of the edge of their mouth like catcus

Middle Gravois is only slightly off color. I imagine it will be coming down drom the creek in a day or so.

well I will not say exactky where i had one. but I first noticed it when I used the bathroom. Its removal was not pleasant. We have had some people around here very sick and one lady I knew was in a doma for several weeks. all they could find was that it must have been from a tick bite. I try real hard to avoid them

Hoglaw----- You have injected a lot more into it. I will try to follow it on the internet. I am no lawyer. But I worked on some complex things concerning WW 11 in the philippines. If ever see you and I am sure they would be very interesting to you. The provlem started with the philipine Independence act in 1934 and was run thru courts and used by politician over and over again all they way to at least 1995 when I retired from Civil Service. I would not repeat some of the stuff I seen on a public forum. The JAG we had where I worked at one time did not want to write his on background and just threw the blank legal pad on the table and walked out. He was not a good lawyer. They had some problems with him and the way they got rid of him get him a job as a administrative Judge. So I do not mean to have a attitude about Lawyers but have delt with serveral real jerks goverment lawyers.

a. lot of these people on this thread think nothing of sight fishing bass. Then jump on someone for keeping them to eat. I got to wonder do you know what happens most of the time when you pull that bass out of that bed ? The blue gill and sunfish race in there and make short work of the eggs if they are present at that time same. applies to the fry. I know the bass goes back but at times that is before the bed has been spawned.

I clearly support the law as it stands. But I know enough to think that if some legal clerk or lawyer found something in a book or court transcript somewhere that they just might to try to twist into a preceedant. Could be the lawyer doing the argument knew in his heart from the start he had no case. He gets PAID you know win or loose. Ethics is a selective matter of choice with some of those guys.

Qiuillback ------ being arrested for failure to identify has almost happened to me a time or two. If you talked ro me you would not know I was deaf. I have been stoped and when I told the cop I was deaf he gave me avery strange look. and would start asking me things and I would tell him again. I speak as clear as any of you do. Thats why I have a deaf sign in 3 in high letters on each side of my boat.

I do not see how they can rule for the defense without setting a preceedance over all law inforcement in the state. I do not want to see anything like that at all. Just makes it easier for someone to move weapons and explosives around.

You need everyone to watch for some stuff Phil. I know that gay stuff went right over a lot of people heads and it stayed on here for about a week. If you remember that. One other point Unthink should be brought out. The forum is private there are no rights.

Mitch----- I do not use that type bait as a matter of preferance but iI seen one you made and It seems to be well made. like I would have expected from you. If I was naming it I would call it something like Mitches Bass Majic. To me that your saying this is the way I like it even if there are similar baits of that type. That is a lot different approach than what the ned people did.

I sem to remember Dave you saying tou were not supporting the neg rig for finacial reasons. Is that correct.

You would not believe the number of small shad about 1/2 in long that are in the lake right now. I put a submerged light down week before last just to watch the fish and see what showed up. right away there were a lot of plankton around the light and schools of these small shad starded circleing the light snatching the plankton. By the time I got to tired to watch the swarm circleing that light had grown to a little better than the width of that stall (9'). It was like looking down into the center of a tornado. The light was down about6 ft. the shad would circle like a cloud gettin deeper and closer to the light as they swam around. Sort of made me wonder if they were bot following some ritual in taking turns at the plankton There was so many they almost looked solid. I tried to gat a picture of it but my camera would not pick it up well enough.

i hope some people I knowread this they would enjoy a good laugh at the BS
