BIll I am surprised you did not mention that in Missouri you are not responsible for your wake. That would be nice if they were. I know you were here long enough to know there were pot shots taken at big boats. I have never seen a wake board on LOZ there are so many wakes you could not ride it. I also heard from somebody not a former patrolman that this kid that drowned was real nasty to deal with and resisted arrest. I understand they have a camera recording of it. His boat was equipped with one. He has also been returned to duty.

First find out where the general fund is if it is it the corp of engineer general fund within the Corp of engineers, or is it some fund of the DOA or DOD. What I suspect is that the fund is right there in your COE district and that is where it will be used for the shortfall that they been having. Another thing I noticed this year when I go down to the dock early in the morning is odd things floating in the water. Like a big 2x10 filled with large nails or the two large chunks of foam I seen last week with rods and such stinking out of it all over. These generally appear on weekend . I am sure someone is setting up booby traps for boaters. I imagine when we see more respect from these summer peole who believe they are above is there might be less trouble.

I think Mitch its just another way of making a presentation. I can see why the sudden jerking would be good when the time was right. Sometimes it would excite a trailing fish or lurking fish into striking. I know when I am moving a worm very slowly over something. I sometimes pause then give it a small snap to cause it to look like its fleeing are whatever it is they think. I hjave caught many many bass because of that little snap. So I a. sure it would work with this method described for jigs.

Only pictures I tske of fish got to friends anymore. I take all my pics by laying the fish on a 4&" alum measuring stick. That t way there is no estimate needed. But Still just my way.

I usually do not agree with you Joe but this is the second time on this thread. Lot of these guys are looking for some sort of magic. A lot of them have families to support. And important positions that others depend on. So it is off to work they go. They do not have the time to really deal with things like presentation, balance tackle and so many other things that come with fishing. Really ,I am proud of them doing that and putting their priorities in the proper order. Some of us have not always done that.
