I caught 2 -4lbs in one day on Eagle Lake Ontario.

Where were you fishing down there. About 40 yrs ago I fished little grassy and Devils kitchen several time. Biggest stringer on bass I ever seen came out of crab orchard. This was in the days of 10 fish limit. They ranged from almost 4 to near 8. They were caught on a single spin. That area down there is what I call the Illinois Ozarks and the fishing was and must still be as good as any areas in this region.

I go along with Mike Worly on this. My daughter has I laws who live and fish Lake Erie in Ohio. They told me when the water gets lower the worst thing about zebras is you can smell them dying a mile away.

I a, sure glad I live out here where I can defend myself from vermin. Just wait till the Armadillos get to you. And I can assure you they are up there. I have killed a couple dozen in the last few years. They can be hard to trap. I shoot mine with 410 ga slugs.

wrench--- I am more interested in this worm hardness stuff. Can it be taken internally ???

MITCH---- I am curious this making of lures and especially plastic, how does that play out domestically. I used to do some of that a long time ago and it was a struggle. Especially the plastics. If it's tuff hang on. It will get better in about 50 yrs. or so.

I use whatever color I want. Most times it does not matter. Here on LOZ I do prefer gray and shad. I cannot prove pink is better but it does work very well. It Is really hard to tell how color works in your mind and is converted to confidence. Like Wrench however In do prefer those made by Strike King. Not all sinko type worms are the same as far as construction goes and it does make a difference as well. But if your going to get into this sinko type fishing look into things like trick worms etc. It's not so much the color or what as the presentation. Anyone know how to shut off the editing function on a IPad 3. I have tried to shut some off and they come back. This one will run behind me editing. I do not get that. I have enough trouble wi this thing. I think I am going to have to convert to using only the computer. Reason I do not now is it is in a room with no TV or food bites nearby and my chair.

It happened about 400 ft from my home. The boat patrolman handcuffed his hands behind his back and put a ski type Life jacket over his body. Then sped off to fast and threw the kid out of the boat going through large wakes. All in violation of the proceedures he was suppose to be following. The case is far from settled. I am sure you can google up about everything you need by just googling Ellison drowning in lake of the Ozarks. Only question I know that remains is somebody going to go to prison for man slaughter.

mItch I have one really other then use about anything I have one color that sometimes will work when nothing else will it is PINK

. Those rubber bands can cause you more trouble than they are worth. Main problem I have with them is the hook will swivel around and the worm embeds itself in the worm. Especially if I am useing a smaller hook like most do. Mostly though I use a 0/3 that is not as susceptible to that. I just do not like the worm to slid and turn all over the place on the hook. You could maybe put some small round thing about the size of a soda straw and about 1/2 inch long into the center of the mold and mold over it. As long as it can be penetrated by the hook. It would be fine. Small piece of soft rubber might work.

i think Mitch the greatest thing you could do with those things is pour the middle harder than both ends. the other day I went thru2 bags of them in about 3 hours.

It really doesn't matter that much. I have lot of the of grayish white. I have ran out a. few times and was forced to use anything I could find. I have fished some black orange and red, Red, Blue. Brown and several others. i prefer the grayish white. Because of the shad color. but I sure do not have a qualms about. Using anything else. I do not use your standard type hooks either I use regular 0/3 worm hook are some 0/3 plated trot line hooks I have.

I see Hams picture on wrenches post and twice I had a post on here and it showed up on another thread I read. Had to delete it twice. Anyway it certainly is slow bass fishing. went out yesterday though in early afternoon from 1 till about 4:30 I caught about about 5 or 6 bass not sure now . Three were keepers one was 18". Also had a darn 25" drum smack a jig in back of a dock in a tight place that really gave me some hell for a short while. I fished 1/2 oz buck tail jigs and also wacky worms. The fish were very close to the bank on mostly channel banks. l tried to fish the deepest shade I could find. Wacky actually out fished the jig. The green sunfish were having a picnic or something and were a pest the entire time on the wacky. But fun no less on the 8 lb test line and light action 7 ft rod. Everything including the sunfish just absolutely shut down about 4:30. I was ready to stay out there longer for about the first time this season thanks to a new shoulder brace.

In Missouri you would be legally responsible for assault. Not the wake. But then there is the proving it. A wave runner designed to run wakes for fun. I have had trouble a few times with wave runners. But then around around here they self assault them selves.

Well since we're on to scent. I do not believe there is anything ever made that can match the real thing. Only sent type thing I use Is crappie candy. As much as I hate to admit it the stuff does work. But as far as the scent goes it smells more like something familiar. If you get my drift.

Well if you believe in the color being important. By all means follow your beliefs. You will fish better that way. It is up to the individual about color preference.

Way way way way back in the day( very late 50's and early 60's) I used to do that all the time. I still got one of the old favorites down in the locker. Had a metal bill on it cannot remember the name.

You said they were 100 yards away and 10 minutes later they were closer and claimed you cut them off. Well if they were 100 yards away and 10 minutes later close enough to claim you cut them off. They got a problem alright. They are fishing way to fast is my bet. I have had fisherman give me dirty looks for catching fish 100 to 200 ft in back of them. It seems to me like some people think they have priority to the lake because they are only there for the weekend or have put there bucks down for a tournament. 100 yards is a lot of bank I do not care what way they are going.
