  1. Picture perfect!! That's why I just enjoy being on the lake period!!
  2. Thanks! I believe we will use it a lot more ............and post more reports that don't include "zero", "skunked ", and "rough day", because we are on the water more over the course of the year!!! We may be able to use the fantastic information provided by all the experts on this site!! Big thank you to everyone for the advice and information! Oh, and I do have a boat for sale!!!! 😁 Larry
  3. I originally looked at the Ranger angler but the rear deck had a raised rail about 2 to 3 inches high and about 3 inchers wide behind the rear fishing chair...………...I was concerned that my wife might be fighting a fish and trip over that rail/cap. I really don't want to fish her out of the lake, and then I looked at the Reata, and it doesn't have the "trip rail" behind the seat, it's smooth like the rest of the rear deck...………………….so we picked the Reata even though the rod locker and front deck was not as good for fishing as the Angler. I can make do with the rod locker and fishing deck not being ideal in order to not worry about my wife getting excited (and she does get excited catching fish) and tripping and falling out of the boat!!!!!! 🤣
  4. Thanks everyone! Talked to a buddy in Oklahoma who had one and he convinced me it is a good choice. Plus, the boss likes the seating.............and picking out the colors 😀 Ranger has some good freebies right now, so based on 80% of the votes for being cast for the boat, I now have one one on order!! I did cast my 20% also, so the vote was unanimous! 🤣
  5. Would you please send me a PM with details and price?
  6. Sent you a PM
  7. LOL. Believe it or not I very seldom have a beverage while fishing!! But when I'm done.......... 😲 I hate to admit it, but I'm getting old and the lake keeps getting rougher! And........ the ranger is a single console and my wife does not like being exposed to the cold wind in the spring and fall, and definitely not in the winter. I am concerned about the ride (rough water) and stability when setting still out in the main part of the lake. I know having a full windshield will increase the amount of fishing I will do with my main partner, my wife. i am thinking that this may be the boat to last me until I just can't fish anymore!!
  8. Does anyone have or have experience with the 1850 Ranger Reata?? I'm thinking about selling my Ranger 521C and buying one. Believe it will be more comfortable and safer. I seem to fall into the water more now! 😆
  9. Usually when I am getting rid of my excess coffee my fishing partner catches the biggest fish of the day!!! 😁
  10. Beautiful fish!!!!!! If I caught one like that I'd have to get a longer measuring board and bigger scales!!! 😆
  11. Happy Birthday!! 49 right!!!
  12. I went to a Catholic school till the 8th grade. I have one memory of an event.....can't remember what I did, but Sister Mary Andrews caught me and was slapping me with both hands on each side of my face for whatever I did........would've made Mohammad Ali proud!!
  13. Welcome! Like you I don't get down as much as I'd like but do enjoy reading about the "lucky" ones that fish and report. Great people on the forum also!!
  14. Nice head shot though! 😁 Thanks for the report.
  15. Thx Hunter, he's pretty proud, but dad is sweating the taxidermy bill 😳 I hope yours has learned how duck and will be around for ya next year. Looks like he will be a "nice" one!!!
  16. Gotta brag a bit. My 8 year old grandson bagged this one with a crossbow. He's going to have quite a challenge to improve during his hunting career!! 😃
  17. NICE!!!!! Fish better look out now!
  18. FINALLY! A thread I can totally relate to 😀
  19. THAT is a scary story! I'm sorry you were injured, but thank God you survived. Every since I was knocked off my front deck by a wave I didn't see I wear an inflatable vest all the time and it has a loop to attach the kill switch to which I use 90 percent of the time...…...now 100 after reading your post, The vest does get hot in this weather but I'm too old to go swimming again without it!!
  20. Hmmmmm,, got an extra plate!!!! LOL
  21. Flexibility to me is making it to either bathroom in good time!!!!!
  22. I agree, ground wire or fuse, mine was a fuse.
  23. I'm neutral for fish being relocated....... if they are released alive and in good shape. But, that being said, I'm against doing it during spawn with fish on beds, at least on Table Rock! I don't understand why intelligent people can't come up with a format that can be used during a one to two month period that would allow for the immediate release of fish. I just can't help but think that this would improve the fishing experience for everybody!
  24. That's interesting. That's not that far from me. I know they're out ther, just don't really see them!
