  1. yeah I sent a couple, one towards the end of Sep and one last week. Didn't need anything in particular just seeing how your doing, thought I pissed ya off some how ahahahha.
  2. Marty I hope you're doing good my friend, sent you a couple PM's the last couple weeks.
  3. i have a mold that will pour a 1/80th ounce head and a size 10 hook so that is what i'll use on those. I want some both with and without a jig head. I will also check out the tubes or make one out of a pen. Thanks so far guys!
  4. what size of jig and any idea on a hook size? I pour my own heads so I could do this as well for a variety.
  5. just put beads on a hook? what size or kind of bead? we talking something you can get at a craft store or something special I need to buy somewhere else? Also thanks for the tip on the McFlyfoam, I just ordered some of that. I would like to know more about the beads as well so I can make both.
  6. I may not be using enough material perhaps
  7. I think I have midges down pretty decent so now I'm moving onto egg flies. I can tie jigs, Micro jigs and midges but my egg flies suck. I need tips or hints. I've watched a dozen you tube videos and mine just don't look good. Ugh. Frustrating. These are on a size 6 hook FYI.
  8. great trip so far buddy!
  9. Can you explain a little on how the different ways to fish a megaworm? I have some tied up but I'm unable to get a clear answer on the proper way to fish them.
  10. I would be honored to be on the list as well. What a cool idea!
  11. I've docked at the lake queen plenty of times and had lunch on the water at the Paddle wheel bar and grill. Decent food and nice to set outside and eat on Taney. I've also docked at the courtesy docks and gonna up and ate at Buffalo Wild Wings where I could look down and see the boat. Also ran into bass pro for a broken pedestal seat and docked at a courtesy dock. Never had an issue one and it's a fun treat.
  12. yup I bought some as well and yes thank you so much....even got free shipping!
  13. He has ice in his veins, never gets rattled etc. Man I would of been whooping and hollering. What's a weight guess on that pig?
  14. My very 1st attempt at making my own midge.
  15. seen this thread in my research. I have always used "strung" marabou for making my trout jigs, then here while back I bought the wapsi wolly bugger marabou.....gotta admit I think I like it the best so far for my jigs, especially my micro jigs.
  16. kinda like another guy named Marty that I've come to know. That dudes poppers and flies and their detail are amazing to see!
  17. Totally understand. I was pretty much joking but I think they would work awesome. I've got a couple things in mind for November if they are running enough water to drift cranks then.
  18. Oh heck no, I pour and sell all kinds of baits or did atleast. It's time consuming as heck. I pretty much just make stuff for myself at this point cause I have a little 7 year old girl that I don't like taking time away from. Plus I don't have a tenth of the talent that Duane does. Everything that guy does is top notch from walleye fishing, trout fishing, wood working, lure painting etc.
  19. duane I would really like to send you about a half dozen crankbaits and have you paint them in the sculpin color.......sculpin live on the bottom, under the rocks just like a crawdad. They bite crankbaits drifting in the current so they should hammer a scuplin colored crankbait digging along the bottom like your fat free shads right?
  20. any specific hook models anyone? especially Gavin? I was pretty set on ordering Tiemco 2487s just based off what I have found
  21. Looks like frank the tank might of gotten in on the bday party and ate to much chicken and cheese cake...
  22. Not like you to not provide an update. Did you drop your phone in the lake?
  23. thanks for the answers so far every one. I really appreciate it.
  24. I would galdy accept hook styles, bead sizes and wire sizes if anyone wants to share. I would be looking at tying 16 and 18s.
  25. they darn sure are prettier but wasn't sure what the "scoop" was on them, whether they were any good or different or not.
