  1. Haven't used that one but it does look cool. But then again I buy anything that looks cool (I really need to stop that!!!) I bet it would be killer in those lakes were Red is the spring time deal
  2. I saw that curve I just haven't fished up there this time of the year to know if iits a gradual drop over the month or a boom there it is down type of deal. Planning to come up next week and was just looking at the levels. With the cold I didn't want to get up there right after a major drop in levels. Hard enough to catchem any ways
  3. Have they started dropping the lake any yet. It doesn't look that way from the report that is has been started down yet.
  4. Has anybody heard any of the news about it. I have had several calls lately about it. From what I have heard it's in the finally stages. But does that mean this year or next year I haven't seen any work or construction Eqt were it is supposed to be going. Anybody know any more information??
  5. It seems to be setting up for nice fall fishing and at least some beautiful fall colors to look at. I don't get a chance to fish very often and when I do its usually tournament time, but when I do I will try and keep the page up. I know there are others out there also who fish and want to stay informed.
  6. Went out for a little afternoon action. Wasn't to bad we had several fish on topwaters and sm crankbaits up the creeks. Seen several boats out and talked with a few, everybody was catching sm fish. We had a couple 3lbrs but most were shorts to liners. Good day despite the rain and HOT temps after it blow through. Didn't try deep water spots, but did see several boats out deep while running back in.
  7. Yeah I did that search also. The Omni isnt really what I wanted. The stow and deploy is what i was looking for like the old models. Probly like the old power gators those pages are talking about. Man it would be nice!!
  8. Okay this goes back a while, but they were popular back in the early to mid 90's and beyond. On bassboats mostly aftermarket I believe. The first one I saw was about 94, I was amazed. You could have a switch at the console and bow and flip them to deploy and raise your trolling motor. I can't remember if it was a gear driven or how. It beat pulling the cord all day. I just started the search and thought yall would be the best stating point. They may not have been very reliable as they are not still around? Anybody remember these units. If so were at?
  9. Hey guys anybody know or got a connection up there. I'm looking for a lake to drop a basscat in for a guy to do a test ride and drive. Dont have to be big (as I see none per goggle). Just needs to be big enough i can start and run the big motor. Thanks
  10. I need a lake around this area to drop a basscat boat in and do a test run for a guy (buyer). Any ideas
  11. So ture Champ you are right on with that. I was in no way meaning I was dissapointed, any time I can fish I feel blessed. A great cause (I have a brother-n-law with diabities), fish with a friend and have fellowship with (fishing friends) it is diffently a win. On a side note I have never seen so many boats out, from 86 bridge to Cow WOW!!!! It was unreal with people tubing and sking. I was uneasy just driving and looking for people who fall off. Kinda scary.
  12. I have to agree with Mr Bill on this. I got up way early and drove a long way to fish this one and went home busted. A great tournament a for a great cause and well run. A lot of great fishermen were in this one and I was expecting to see some good sacks. After watching the weather I thought I had a good plan and the rain and cool weather would help with the bite. NO IT DIDN'T. River bite was not there for us resulting in a couple of shorts and a 15.25" skinny fish. So deep we went and caught 15-18 fish out in deep clear water on jigs. Just could only come up with 1 more keeper and those fish were fat and healthy. Did c a lot of bait up shallow n the river from minnows to sunfish. Had a good day all in all and got to fish with an ole bud I haven't seen in a while.
  13. Mostly A-rig and as Champ mentioned. The size is the best option the small make a great bait when the fry are small and you can move up in size with the same style bait and the colors are spot on.
  14. Coming up saturday and headn to Long and Cricket anybody been! Did yall get rain up there
  15. I do fish it, as it is my closest HM lake so to speak. I just don't don't fish in June thur Aug very much. What are needing to know and maybe I can shoot you a line.
  16. I have tried the Beat shads and like them for the price, but like the Keitech colors much better.
  17. I have had a terrible time with the Fin, but when the bite gets on it you had better be tossing it. I have ones that have feathers and those without. I haven't bent the lips much, but have changed hooks and bent the tie and put on better rings. Like the others have said and I agree. We all proably have more that don't run right than ones that do!! This seems to be a lure that you have to "adjust" to make it perform. I have not had any luck right out of the package. These guys on here have way more experience with them then I do. I have several that only work well in slick water and some that as you say work better in a slight chop. Another thing to make matters even worse is Line, Reel, and Rod. I'm still learning, but this also can improve the action or dull it. You can also look back to some older topics on this.
  18. I had my account info saved (I thought!!) in a couple of different spots. But with a move, a new cell phone, and a dead computer all was lost in a couple month span. I really don't want to registar for a new account, but will if I have to. I lost all the login info and have also changed to a new email address so when I sign in for password recovery I know it goes to my old email. I just found the facebook login yesterday and got it to work today. A long way around the question I know, but how do I update everything?? Can i do it now that I'm logged in with facebook and if so how? I still get to view all the info, but cannot reply and was at the rock last weekend and had a good time with the CPAA. Thanks in advance.
