  1. Received the flies today. Good work gentlemen! Very impressed by everyone's flies! I'll try to get some pics up today or tomorrow to showcase everyone's creations.
  2. Looks good! I've got a few patterns, including meat whistles, that I've wanted to tie up on jig hooks. Might have to give this one a go!
  3. What wt. is the wonder rod? Where are you located?
  4. That's a giant! What area of the big muddy?
  5. A buddy of mine found his first of the season yesterday along with a huge big dead head that appeared to be hit by a car. Still think it's a tad early.
  6. I was just thinking about fishing the Pomme De Terre River this year. Thanks Ketchup!
  7. Signed up as well. Thanks for the link rFisherk! I'd like to think that the voices on this forum could make a difference if we all pitch in on this.
  8. There's a fishing/hunting shop in Springfield right across the street from Bass Pro on Campbell. He buys and sells all kinds of used hunting and fishing gear.
  9. Awesome job! Everything looks professional. Jealous!
  10. No biggie. Excited to see them!
  11. dtrs5kprs, the water that is coming out of the dam that supplies Taneycomo is water from the bottom of the lake. I don't know how deep trout will live in a lake like Table Rock, but in the summer time the water would probably be too warm for them to survive in the upper and middle water columns. Please, someone correct me if I am wrong on any of this information.
  12. Interesting. I guess I didn't realize that each reservoir usually only receives one "bonus" fishery. I guess I always figured walleye were native to the Sac river system, therefore they were considered to be natives in Stockton. I didn't realize that was Stockton's bonus fish.
  13. Sorry about your loss. Your family will be in my prayers.
  14. Awesome fish! The colors on that second cutthroat are outstanding!
  15. Thanks for the info! Hopefully I'll turn a few out in the next few weeks.
  16. Welcome to the site! I'm sure you'll find lots of useful information. What is your species of choice?
  17. Billethead, you're really making me want to get into the balsa fly game. I might start dabbling into it this spring. Are you just picking up your balsa from a local craft store or are you ordering it online? Also, what hooks are you using for your poppers/sliders?
  18. Good job gramps! I'm awful at it. In my opinion, it's pretty tough to do without a stacker.
  19. I agree with Lancer. I'm always guilty of adding too much and too long of bucktail to my Clousers. Somewhere on a previous thread someone said you should be able to lay your Clouser down sideways on a page of a magazine and be able to read the words printed underneath.
  20. rFisherk, that second picture of the bluegill on the stringer is a wallhanger! Other than smallmouth, they are one of my favorite fish to catch on a fly rod. I've had a lot of luck with yellow/black and chartreuse/white poppers. I love catching them on hoppers as well.
  21. Excited to see what everyone came up with! Here's my finished product.
  22. I don't yet have a setup with sinking line, so I like to throw weighted streamer, but it's completely up to you. Not too terribly picky as far as weight goes.
  23. Sorry I'm a little late. Flies are going out today! I only tied up 6 (2 per person), so you won't have to worry about sending me 2 of my own flies. I'm excited to see everyone's creations!
  24. Glad I didn't make the trip then. Thanks for the update!
  25. That's awesome! I'd be happy to hook up with that fish on any body of water.
