  1. I’m on the right side of the dirt. My in-laws are on the right side of the dirt, and doing great. Had dinner last night with them and some good laughs. Thanks to all the well wishers here. At least i don’t have “bullets knickin’ me in the posterior” as my uncle would remark about his daily trials with survival in Vietnam. I’m still employed and grateful for it at a time when friends and colleagues have been furloughed. My ego and humility have done battle and humility has won. Though probably temporary 🤣 Our family has grown closer than we would be otherwise. Not all going 20 different directions. Had lots of sit down meals at home together and probably at a time in my kids life when it could not be more important. 3 teenagers ain’t easy, but if you slow down and listen, they listen too.
  2. Mayor said some stuff she shouldn’t have and later apologized for her mistake. She should know better. Totally brought it on herself. Not excusing trespass or destruction of property, but people are on edge already. She’s an idiot.
  3. We should shoot them. Get off my zoysia!
  4. Mitch, that last picture is at the Mayors mansion, not the McCloskeys.
  5. This higher resolution photo just came in, hot off the AP....
  6. I've watched the video through several times . . . . and this couple looks full-on crazy. I don't see any protestors pointing guns at them . . . . only them pointing their guns wildly at the protestors, who were staying on the street mostly and moving along on their way to to the mayors house. Private street though it may be, and certainly trespassing --- their extreme over-reaction puts them in the running for the top KAREN couple of the year. They may well sweep the awards ceremony. 🤣
  7. I'd say that too . . . except for anything remotely pro-Trump. Or in conspiracy theories from questionable sources. Or the wisdom of voting a straight party ticket. Or . . . . crud, that doesn't leave much for us to agree on, does it? And how much is your next paycheck? Are you on the fir-low? 🤣
  8. No joke. This could've gone very wrong. And look at where he is aiming the rifle! I actually feel bad for this couple. I can understand being scared and arming themselves, but they went WAY too far in going out on their front porch and lawn and aiming their guns at the people. Where they live - right off Kingshighway - just blocks from some pretty rough areas -- they will forever be a target now. They are going to need to sell that house, sell their business, move out of state. Or at the very least, they need to install a 20 foot fence, some dobermans, hire a full-time private security company . . . . maybe even put a moat and a drawbridge around that castle. 🤣 A perfect example of why de-funding the police makes no sense. Do we want people like this couple taking matters into their own hands? I'm sure they regret it now. They should've called the police, waited inside, and just recorded whoever was doing the destruction to their gate.
  9. Well this was an interesting local story that even had Trump tweeting it. https://www.stltoday.com/news/local/crime-and-courts/couple-points-guns-at-protesters-marching-to-st-louis-mayor-s-home-to-demand-resignation/article_9edc57ed-c307-583f-9226-a44ba6ac9c03.html#tracking-source=home-top-story
  10. Uh, Beavis huh-huh. I think you have that wrong about the commies. He's been actively REQUESTING their help in getting re-elected. Both Putin and Xi. Putin he is beholden to precisely because of his whoremongering, you know that famous little pee-pee session with the russian prostitutes, Putin probably has him on film . . . . . . And Xi - you better believe there is some leveraging going on with the trade deal if they help dig up some dirt on Biden, or help in SOME way. Trump needs a 2nd term so bad . . . . and only to keep from spending his final miserable years in jail.
  11. Never have paddled one of those, but looking at the specs -- looks quite heavy @ 70 lbs for just a 12 foot canoe. Probably better suited as a small lake or pond boat. Old Town, Wenonah, Buffalo . . . those are the brands I would be looking at.
  12. Uncle Pete died about 5 years ago, Purple Heart, Bronze and Silver Star, 173rd Airborne in Vietnam, shot 9 times. Dad passed 13 years ago, no combat or medals or bulletholes, but a hero nonetheless --- raised 9 of us kids, worked at Paul Mueller Co for many years to support us
  13. My Dad on the right and my Uncle Pete on the left, about the time they shipped off to live most of their formative years in Boys Town Nebraska.
  14. the original Paul Dallas, sometime in the mid 40's
  15. Grandad Arnold's old desk, and then my uncle's old desk which he used to build amazing model planes on. Now I tie shite flies on. The Japanese flag came from my Granddads service in WWII in the Philippines.
  16. A few pictures. Grandad Arnold where he worked at a mens clothing store in KC. He said he knew Harry Truman.
  17. Good stuff. The old photos kill me every time.
  18. Very cool, Ness. Love those pictures and stuff handed down from your Dad.
  19. Long armed pics of a bunch of shorts, they should be proud.
  20. What an awesome rally!. Half million, million? He was sweating like a stockyard Okie hog. The comment about Biden’s wife confusing her with his sister. Pure class, again.
  21. I guarantee you they are republicans too. 😜
