Looks like we are getting that rain !

Hitting little sac bright and early on Tuesday . after the rains they should moving up stream at least to Taylor. I will fly fishing and only have about four hours so hopefully I find some. At least a walleye or two would nice ?

Lower access didn't yield much other than small fish. We really need some rain too. The creek is getting very slimy. Fish were in current mostly with a few scattered through deep holes. Small was key this time. Tried some big stuff like buggers but only caught one . Caddish were hatching as well as small stoneflies and mayflies. Need to try farther down from lower access. There is some deep water. Also saw something I've never seen before. A larger owl overseeing a smaller one catching a squirrel. Then the two flew off together with said squirrel.

Pond fishing should really be heating up in the next week! Great day with your kiddo !

Twenty plus day on the creek. Mostly dinks. Had a couple decent ones and had two big overcome off. Threw bh hares ear with a hot spot and bhpt also Griffiths gnat and caddis took a couple. Biggest came on hares ear. Seems to me throwing one nymph in the low water, anywhere there's a current with a seam , was the trick. Fun day

Going to trysts get down to crane Friday early before the rain starts and maybe fish until it really gets going.

Make the investment. Its worth it. Timeless skill and hobby. I don't really even fish with anything else anymore.

Always had pretty good luck as a kid on white. Probably just the weather!

I think there is some genetic mix there... Mostly spotted bass though. I didn't realize how many Kentucky's we have now in Missouri. Only ever caught one personally.

Drew we stayed at the hangar at the end of Feb and had a blast. They are great people and haves great place down there. Nice pics with your dad! Wish mine could sit get around. Enjoy it

A few new ties I came up with after a conversation with big ugly last spring. Man I met on the little sac. Tore them up using these little guys.

Looks like Missouri is running statewide tornado drill today. Supposed to get more rain Friday at night. Idsay by next week will be the beginning of spring fun. . . whites mushrooms and wallys

Day two was much better. Netted ten good fish missed another ten or so. biggest went 16 inches. Guy I took with me even caught a couple. No browns and Justin said streamer fishing has been really slow as well. Water was gin clear and a little low hut not to bad. Did mostly Czech nymphing at all the islands and good riffles to pick up be trout. Polish pheasant tail and twenty inches stone were best. Had to get them deep quick though. Sunburst was great and they were very nice. Justin have good tips and advice. We stayed in the hangar room one. Nice amenities for roughing it. Great trip we willgo back for sure!

Super slow day. Landed three and feel like that was success. Floating up end tomorrow... Hopefully better day. Saw a giant munching caddis but out of my reach.
