when i was a kid a couple of divers came in at 125 and said they saw some catfish as big as car hoods on the bluff across from the ramp, said they wouldnt dive there again.
finished 2nd in that tourny with 4 that went 9.13 needed the 1 more as 5 for 9.23 won it. we raised $1600 dollars plus a generous donation from where we work for the prizes and a extra $500 for lonnie for a total of $2100 raised for him, thanks every one who fished, it was really apprieciated.
boys i smashed them pretty good yesterday going behind the boats in the pt 22 area nobody was throwing what i was if iwent 5 min without a bite it felt like something was wrong all the fish super shallow. 50 plus would have had 100 if all the biters would hook. this lake is loaded. 15 keeps all largemouth and k's
2000 model and the seal popped two years ago and the mechanic caught it while it was in for not starting so he super glued the new ones in had oil in it this time just its time to go i guess. boats been in the shop for not starting since jan 20th i guess they dont work if there is any snow on the ground, maybe have her back by the basscat tourny.
here's what sucks about the new wigglewarts there are days when it will flat outfish the pre rapala ones in a v63 vs v63 head to head had this happen a couple times mainly in water 46 degree and colder on cloudy days, then days when the brads wiggler will work better makes wart fishing a little more complicated 3 choices instead of 1
feel your pain with optimax mine has left me trolling back 3 of my last 5 trips last one cost me at least 2nd in the dec. 28 bassothon. one new lower unit later and it ran half a day and decided it wouldnt start, lucky me more $$$$.
put me in a tourny where i need one big bite to cash a check on bull and i'll get that big wally! so frustrating!! they dont just live in the upperlake lead hill to oakland is full of them, love em when i'm fun fishing hate em when i'm in a tourny!
