Abkeenan, I did purchase one of those but have yet to use it. I bought it for a tournament. Ordered it 4 months prior to the tournament hoping it would be in but... it showed up two days after I got back. Just my luck. I am looking forward to using it. My thoughts were two different times of the year. Spring during, during spawn/prespawn and summer when deep divers get on. Well...as mentioned above it didn't arrive here in time for spring and now the deep crank bite is on and may be slowing down. I'm hoping it's on still next weekend at the rock and I may just get it out then. What are your guys thoughts on trying it when and what type of areas. It is a sinker,I'll try to keep 8t out of, but around trees. Lol

Being in law enforcement myself, and like many other law enforcement officers, we often find ourselves chasing our tails with trying to get something accomplished with getting these "low lifes" off the street. If nobody learns anything from this forum, learn this and remember it, "as Americans we all have the right to vote" not all the time is it because of the prosecuting attorneys office that these "low lifes" are immediately let out of jail or not fined, but quite often it is. So the next election time, remember to vote for your prosecuting attorney in your county or city. They essentially are the ones who decide if a case goes to trial or not. If it does go to trial you want one who has the "nads" to fight for what is right.

Amen Mr. Babler. I agree. I just wish I had more to share. Honestly I just don't get to the lake near as often as I would like to. Honestly I read this forum every night. It's the best electronic magazine I get. Thanks again guys. Again, I wish I too could share more.

Yeah I sure hope this doesn't turn into another one of those topics.

Great job Rick!

Yes completely out. At first it was not. The screen would flicker. The power button wasn't working. At first when I would plug the power cord in it would automatically turn on. It quit doing that and wouldn't even turn on.

Hey guys and gals. I just wanted to make a quick post regarding humminbirds customer relations. If you Remember a while back I asked if anyone else has suffered water leakage in their unit. My console unit is an 859 ci HD di and it got water in it. It cost me 12 dollars to send it in. They replaced it at no cost to me and even sent me a cover with it. Thank god because I had lost mine. Again they did all of this at no cost to me. Thoroughly impressed. That being said...thank you humminbird. Good luck to all who are getting to enjoy the lake. Have fun and "watch your six"

Vinsott, I am sorry I thought you were speaking specifically crappie. If you were, then I still say undoubtedly, fish right at the break of the light beam in the dark side. Im Not saying you can't catch any... but "I" dont think you will catch as many. Good luck

Vinsott when fishing with a light always make sure you are not fishing within the beam of light. Cast just beyond the circle of light. That almost sounds like it came out of star wars. Lol. But seriously beyond the light.

Awesome job Jason. I need to try that this year!

Amen iclass. Very well said!!!!

Fishinwrench that simply isn't true. Greg with Mdc at lake of the Ozarks does a great job. If you ever have an opportunity to go out with him when he shocks the lake you would see how he cares for the fish and documents everything.

As far as table rock being pressured, I guess to some degree I would have to agree. But the pressure on table rock doesn't compare to that of Lake of the ozarks. Which by the way has received notoriety as being one of the best bass lakes in the country. Explain that...I would have to say one of the reason it remains as one of the best is because of all the yachts and/or bigger boats that many complain about. When they get on the lake it makes much of the lake unfishable. Thus giving the fish a break from the pressure. I dont believe the small percentage of people who keep the fish out of the rock will ever effect the population. I NEVER keep a bass out of the rock or any major water way. In fact when I plan on coming down and having a fish fry. I take fish with me that I have caught out of a local farm pond. Mdc does a great job managing our great lakes. I am confident they are aware of the lakes fish poulation and would address any concerns they have appropriately. I also believe they have great interest in managing table rock lake's fish population and not just bass, but ALL SPECIES. In my opinion table rock lake has become a better fishery over the years and I'm sure there are just as many people that keep fish now as there have been in the past. Though I wish people wouldn't keep them either but who am I? Just as someone said earlier, others who fish other trophy fish i.e Walleye or Catfish may hate that you say eat them instead just as you hate that they keep bass. Also, I don't think the walleye population is nothing as great as the bass population so why encourage someone to eat walleye instead of bass. Selfish?? Probably. By the way, if you deer hunt, let the trophy walk by. Maybe he will make it to my property and I'll send you a picture of him on my wall. That is if I don't miss. Haha.

I was down on memorial day. I did not see much of a top water bite in the dam area. Is it starting to turn on near the dam. And great report. Sounds like a productive evening.

I never leave my graphs on my boat when I am not in the boat. Each night after fishing I take them both off and take them in the house. I was gone for two weeks from the lake. When I got back I put them on the boat. When I got to the ramp 200 yards from the driveway, I turned it on the screen just had lines on it. I immediately tried turning it off. It stayed on the "shutting down mode" and would not turn off. I unhooked the power cord and put it away while I fished. When I got back to the house I put it in a bag of rice. It will be there for about 3 weeks before I get back. I'm afraid it's fried.

Yikes. Yeah I hope everything works out for me. Thanks guys. I'll keep ya posted.

I have a humminbird 800 series. I got to the lake this weekend and went to turn on my unit and it acted as if it were shorted out. When I unplugged it I shook it and it had water in it. It's less than 2 years old. Does anyone know what humminbird will do about it based on their experience?
-
Man, I was going to say just the opposite. I have caught more bigger fish year particularly in the dam area, than I have in years past. Several 4 pound small mouth. The unfortunate thing is I can't seem to catch them on tournament days. I guess I'll count my blessings. I will say, most of the bigger ones have came just after dark. Maybe if there were some tournaments that went from 3 to 10pm I may have a chance. Haha good luck everyone and thanks for all the post. Everyone does a great job!

There always seems to be some sense of negativity where ever you go or whatever forum you follow. Some complain about negativity on the lake and others complain of negativity on a forum. Yes it's a public forum and yes we are entitled to our own opinion. (Even though our opinion may be better kept to ourselves to avoid being classified as a whiner) But.. to rebuttle that, it's a public lake and everybody is entitled to fishing wherever they please. (Unless the tournament rules state otherwise or law.) Some guys feel more entitled than others. I get it,I too wish there was more respect regarding "coming in on someone else's fishing spot." But anytime you get that many people in an area some view it as disrespect but not always is that the case. Being in law enforcement we often see detours due to road construction. Inevitably, we receive complaints for "speeders." That being said we respond to the area to run radar. Not usually are speeders the problem. It's the higher volume of traiffic that some aren't used to or desire.. So, is this just another misperception? Maybe/maybe not.. I personally have fished the big bass bash numerous times at loz and taken home a check. I love the event and would fish the KVD big bash bass as well if I could get off work. These events are a ton of fun and generate a lot of money. Not only for that venue but also for the contestants. You know in advance when the tournament is coming. If it's going to cause frustration DON'T FISH THAT DAY! or just enjoy what the good Lord has blessed not only you with but all of those anglers as well. Good grief! I'm sure someone may say "why should I not fish that day,it's my lake too." You're right so gone joy it. After all its a 43000+ acre lake. Sorry if I offended anyone. I just hope I bring some other light to this topic.

Okay so I re read my last post. Wow,I didn't realize the grammatical errors. What it was supposed to say was....I know I look like crap I hung drywall all day. I had a couple of smallies that I attempted to attach but it said the file was too big. I knew the fish were big, but not that big. Lol. I would like to post some pics and thought I had it figured out. Can someone help? Thanks.

The are a couple of small is I caught over the weekend after dark. A 3.5 and a 4lb. I know I look like cap I hung drywall all day. But to reiterate...for sure you can catch them after dark. I even caught a nice walleye. And yes everything as always went back to the big pond.
