  2. Daryk I have always felt the same. Been buying all of those licenses for a long time. If I was still in MO I could have figured out a few spots to get you out for some bushytails. I have also thought that I have always got my money's worth every year. Hope that you feel the same year after year 👍👍
  3. When I was at the zoo today I noticed a piece of toast in one of the enclosures so asked one of the zookeepers, "How did that toast get into the cage?" She replied, "It was bread in captivity!"🤣
  4. I was going to donate blood today but they kept asking too many personal questions. Where did you get the blood? Who's blood is it?!?🤣
  5. When we first started dating my girlfriend asked me to loan her $100. After three years we broke up and she returned that $100. I lost interest in that relationship!🤣
  6. @Flysmallie those are great looking flies. Thanks for sharing your great photos of your work. The time and skill spent on both fronts (tying/painting and photographing) really are awesome.
  7. This is s giant elk from PA taken in 2020. It ends up #6 in Boone & Crockett record book. It was a fair chase hunt or it would not have been considered. Very likely being displayed at Wonders of Wildlife B&C Exhibits that are now open prior to the convention held in July. https://www.fieldandstream.com/hunting/boone-crockett-certifies-record-nontypical-elk-pa/?amp=#amp_tf=From %1%24s&aoh=16535558343818&csi=0&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com https://www.boone-crockett.org/big-game-awards

  10. New Alternative state record walley caught on a trotline. Nice fish. Would have loved to catch one like that on hook and line😉 Tim Stillings of Morrisville caught the 7-pound, 8-ounce fish using a trotline on the Sac River. Polk County man catches new state record walleye Tim Stillings of Morrisville caught the 7-pound, 8-ounce fish using a trotline on the Sac River. JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) congratulates Tim Stillings of Morrisville for catching a 7-pound, 8-ounce walleye from the Sac River. Stillings caught the fish May 16 using a trotline. His record breaks the previous alternative methods record of 6-pounds, 14-ounces set in 2018. “We run trotlines for catfish,” Stillings explained. “It’s somewhat of a dying art. A lot of people don’t do it anymore. But this was the first walleye we’ve caught on a trotline, and it happened to be a state record.” Stillings said he considers this record a joint accomplishment with his friend, Jake Myers. “Running trotlines is a lot of work,” he said. “Jake was the one who suggested that it could be a state record. I didn’t realize they had separate records for alternative methods.” MDC staff verified the fish’s weight on a certified scale in Bolivar. This is the third state record fish caught in 2022. Stillings said he filleted and froze the fish for eating but plans to have a replica made. “For those who ask where I caught it, right in the mouth,” he laughed. Missouri state record fish are recognized in two categories: pole-and-line and alternative methods. Alternative methods include: trotline, throwline, limb line, bank line, jug line, gig, bow, crossbow, underwater spearfishing, snagging, snaring, grabbing, or atlatl. 12. They just all look surprised 😁
  13. That's a great guide!
  14. My daughter would love that! She giggles everytime that she catches a grunting fish. Fortunately a lot of the saltwater fish are grunters.
  15. Sounds like a lot of fun Pete! Thanks for the photos. Nice to see the bass and trout!
  16. Not that familiar with western species yet. Haven't been there to catch and I'd any. Your trip and those microtrout.may be a big push to get out there. Thanks for adding your photos helps get a feel for where you were and your successes! My only guess without trying to dig would be a pikeminnow just because it looks somewhat predatory. Let us know.
  17. Me too Jeff. I thought that Montana was the southern edge for grayling in US.

  22. This is probably in the thread already but I saw it on an old text thread from my son. Makes a father proud 😁! What is the difference between an elephant and a Zippo? One is very heavy and the other is a little lighter🤣 I definitely know that I posted this one before but it's one of Livie's favorites. What is the difference between a walrus and your mother? One has a mustache, lays around, and smells like fish. The other is a walrus!🤣
