It's frustrating for sure. If the sun is out I like a small rainbow warrior. A wd-40 will also do the trick. Another option is a soft hackle, or rs2. Gotta go at least a #20 on your midge pupae. Sometimes you just can't catchem. hare n copper is another good option in that situation. 7x flurocarbon.

If it's a ball jig head is it still the ned? If the bait is anything other than half a senko is it still the Ned?is a tube bait on a mushroom head a Ned rig?

I get a few hrs to fish in the morning, my delima is what do I chase? I can go at like 4am to beaver dam and night fish a few hrs then midge a few hrs after the sun comes up. Or I can hit a s.w. Missouri smallmouth stream for the few daylight hrs. I'd chase white bass if I didn't think it was too early. Anybody in n.w. Arkansas wanna go? Any good white bass reports?

I have caught 40+ more times than I can remember. I have caught over 60+ several times as well. I have landed a brown in the teens, I caught over 30 the other night. I love seeing everyone struggle and being able to yank them in. I love fishing midges and that's all it takes at beaver.

As long as the water isn't too high I normally float/fish upstream and downstream from an access. Where would someone put in for that lower section?

3.5" for sure. Either the pumpkin or sometimes a "sand" color is where it's at. Why are you fellas getting away from tube baits? Cause they work too good?

I did a lot of night fishing on the elk last summer and I'm excited to hit it this year. I will have to try that stretch below Noel this year.

Slayed them last night a parkers. Caught 34 in 3.5 hours. All off the handicap pier. Caught 90% on one fly, burnt orange leach pattern. I was getting hit every cast. It was super fun but I think I have an explanation; I bet they stocked parkers and it since had not generated. So what I was fishing the stock pond. Nothing big, I can post pics but I think we all know what a stocker looks like.

If you go on any weekend in the summer it will be awful. My advice is find a few week days.

Just keep an eye on the diameter. 2lb=7x. 4lb=5x roughly.
