    June 15 float

Like it has been said it is full of channel cats. Just drift a minnow or cutbait down a log and hold on. You can catch them all day like that. I caught 100 or more white bass last year too In that stretch.
  3. Cool thanks
  4. Lol.I have seen some nice goldfish in there. When they going to stock trout again?
  5. Very cool. Yeah its about a 11 mile float to 43 hi way from noel for a conservation ramp. Wouldn't want to do it in the dark. Yeah Amery it's not nearly as wader friendly. Great day float though. Tan bitsy bug in log jams is always my biggest ticket on numbers and size.
  6. Below Noel there is a huge shad population due to the fact it is a short run straight into grand lake. There is a darn at Noel that prevents much of that bio mass from going on up your way. Those bass grow into pigs with all that bait not counting how many come straight from the lake.
  7. Nice! We're you above Noel or below? I always find the best fishing is below.

    Catfish?

Years ago I lived on shoal creek along the bluffs below tipton ford. I fished the creek nearly everyday. Never caught a catfish even once on rod and reel. I did however do well setting limblines. Plenty of channels and a few flatheads. I set some lines just above lime kiln a week or so ago (10 exactly) got skunked. Live perch, wads of fresh caught minnows and some a few crawdads. Seined them all outa the same creek. Any of you guys have any tips? My son loves catfish and just want to get us on some faster. Thanks in advance. I currently live in neosho and will be on the creek in that area.
  9. Good to see so many good guys are out on the creek. Me and my son tied some limb lines on lime kiln but got skunked Friday night. We bass fished up from allen bridge. We caught 12 smallmouth on a 4 inch green pumpkin tube. Biggest one was only 13 inches. I am always in a green canoe if you see me say hi.
  10. Very cool thanks
  11. Good to hear. Could you maybe post a pic of the crawfish fly? I would love to see it.
  12. Lol I have caught them in Capps. Only 2 but they were nice.
  13. yeah there is really good access at allen bridge. Paved boat ramp and huge parking lot.
  14. Always sharpen your hooks when tying on and several times after. It should dig into your finger nail with just the weight of the hook. Plus sometimes you lose fish. I have caught monster smallmouth on elk. Bitsy bug is my go too bait on that water on a small Bait caster and at least 12 lb line. The big ones live in the logs and you got to power them out.
