  1. This may help some fisherman to keep fish healthy, ..................... Cool water in your live well (around 70 degr) fish rejuvenate or stay alive added in live well, needle fish that turn on their side after putting in live well, within 5 min. ( needle in the side not the mouth, you can see video on internet how to do this.) aerate the live well all the time. If you have a fish thats bleeding pour some mt. dew down its mouth. that stops the bleeding instantly
  2. That is a bad scene seeing all those dead fish I agree, but Quillback you think that every tourney is bad? I will tell you that the tourneys I have fished in on Wed nights from the bridge and Fri nite from Campbell that there is a group of fisherman that stays after the tourney to help the fish survive. The tourney directors also push hard about needling the fish so they do move on. there are some people that care to make the fish live on. I will also tell you that it was the Jack Henry/Efco tourney that was out of the bridge Sat nite, and from what I hear from some that this tourney does not take care of their fish. This is not the first time that this tourney has done this. Most of the time they fish out of Big M. There are a few men that fish this tourney that do care but may not have been there Sat nite to police the fish. Yes this is a bad scene but not all tourney fisherman are to blame. There are a some out there that don't care and they should be shamed, like the tourney you are talking about. During the tourneys on Wed nite and Fri nite we have handed out needles and literature on how to keep your fish in good health, including cool (not cold) livewell water. We try our best to make this happen. A few years ago the Mill Creek tourney had the same problem. So they were policed and had to drop their limit to 4 fish during the summer. Hopefully they have learned to needle and take care of their fish, I have not heard if they have. So maybe this tourney needs some help or does need to be policed and fined. But not all tourneys are bad ( some are). We are all out there to enjoy what God has givin us. And yes, to harvest some fish is a good thing to help over population, no argument here. To waste is a bad thing and should be policed. Or someone needs to take the dead fish home.................
  3. How do you work your spin jig
  4. these lites also have a white lite in them also that really enhances the black lite and bank
  5. At bass pro you can get led black lites for about $42 a side. They work just as good as the expensive ones
  6. well I'm glad to hear you would ramman, cause I would too, just to maybe learn a few new things. I love the MLF and their format. It's just not to many people these days would donate anything that does not benefit themselves. I fish tournaments and it is just amazing that half of the contestants don't take care of their fish. BUT there are alot like me that do..................
  7. Well ramman then you should be the first to donate 8 hours as a volunteer to ride around and be a judge.
  8. Campbell point. Start at 7:30 till 1 am. Cost $35. 5 fish limit. Also one at Cape Fair at 7 pm. Mill Creek, dont know time
  9. if you are blowing out coming out of the hole with a three blade, either drop the motor or put in a few plugs. If set up right the 3 blade should be faster than the 4 blade is what i have been told. On my boat a 3 blade outruns a 4 blade if same pitch.
  10. They are nice fish. Do any of you watch MLF. There is a reason those pros get a penalty when their fish touch the carpet. It take the slim off of they instantly. That could cause the fish to die when released. So my feeling is that it would be better for them to keep these fish so they don't go to waste.
  11. if you have trouble skewing your bait on the skew on type, try heating the skew for a few seconds with a lighter then put bait on. IT REALLY WORKS EASYER
  12. Bo, how did you work the spin jig?
  13. the secret is out now lol
  14. Bo These things are cool. It's like two baits in one. You can either use them as a spinner bait or a jig bait by what I have noticed in my pool. I see a win coming tonight LOL
  15. OK. I will give them a try tonight.
  16. Bo, I got your spin jigs. Do u trim the antennas or leave them be? Thanks
  17. where can you buy these spin jigs?
  18. It amazes me that some of these people tubing or whatever don't know that there are tress in these coves that they are just a few feet below them.
  19. Dock owners are not the problem. Its these parents that let their kids take the big boats out and have no respect for anyone. Mainly the wake boats and tubers. They would rather go in circles in a creek or cove to show off rather to the main lake where they belong. Its safer out there. Or sit in the middle of the lake at night without their lights on.....................................
  20. Stockton lake is different because the corps own the land around the lake, so not so many people can build houses on or around the water. On the other deal with docks on table rock, I will always respect their property unless someone tells me I can't fish around the dock. They may own the dock but they DO NOT own the water. I have only had one problem with someone trying to run me off in 20 years. That's not a bad percentage. Most owners will ask me how is the fishing going.
  21. You should enter the Friday nite tournys because non of them could catch anything close to that. Humm
  22. what kind of banks was you fishing and was it main lake or coves.
  23. The fish are getting smart. You guys talk about fishing pressure and your right. Just look at the post on this web. Most of the fisherman on this post go everyday. So a lot of pressure just from us, not alone everyone else. So, Its like roaring river state park, the fish get smart and you can only hook them so many times before they change there ways. Its hard to believe that you can even catch a fish on Table Rock with all the tournaments and pleaser fisherman fishing everyday in the same areas. I bet there is not a fish in the lake that has not had a hook in its mouth. So be happy that you even catch a fish. I am.
  24. Also the scent u are using. Is it real garlic oil? that will also make a big difference. Believe me I've tried different scents on that bait and it has to be the real stuff to work like the LFs did. I just get the craws from Big Bite and add the scent.
  25. There is nothing wrong with bass pro, but by far the ranger is a better built boat than a nitro. But the nitros have come a long way forward.
