Went last weekend. Entertaining didn't allow for much fishing, but got out for a few hours Saturday am. Threw a spook and buzzbait early with one short hit. Switched to my go-to 5/8oz jig and caught 2 short small mouths in 20' near a main lake dock. Started graphing suspended bait/fish off the end of the dock in 38'-40' while trolling around it and picked up a 15" spot. Noticed my line was frayed so set the jig down and tried drop shotting the suspended fish without a bite. Re-tied the jig and caught another 15" spot. Got a text that guests were awake and headed in. Caught a few more each day and night with a drop shot and jig while hanging out on the dock with the guests. Two take aways from Saturday am....1) All 4 fish were caught quickly after the earthquake, which I didn't feel or know about until later...2) catching fish under the bait reinforces what Bo noted in last report regarding shad, crawfish and the jig...which I didn't know or think about at the time...so thanks for sharing Bo. Water temp was around 82 with a green stain that got dirtier each day.
