I agree, but if a person has any common sense about them whatsoever, then they will know not to run wide open. If they do, then obviously they either 1: could care less about themselves or their boat, 2: they have way better eyesight/forward facing sonar than i do. Chances of them hurting anyone else in their venture is slim to zilch, as no one is on th water for the most part.
Just odd to me that guys pipe up telling others not to come for a vacation if they plan to get on the water. Never knew you needed to run on plane to fish.
Like Vernon said on another post, ive done some pretty, not so smart things in my life, but this not going fishing is no where close to any of those experiences. Putting a boat in on ANY area lake right now, TO ME, is no different than it is any other time, as far as being careful with your surroundings.
Back your boat in, pull it off the trailer, go slo to a fishy spot, drop the TM, and have fun. Whats so bad about that in high water?
on a side note, i dropped my boat off at Hydro-Tec this morning to get serviced, or i think i would have skipped work and found me one of those fishy spots.
