  1. haha, i guess that puts a new "direction" on giving directions.
  2. Thats a good fish. Man that water looks better than our last 2 tournaments. Congrats on a good one.
  3. Im thinking the dbl Co. blade spinnerbait should be the ticket about now. Im biring my nails to get out.
  4. you can text it to me and i will post it. 417-399-0443
  5. Good job moto. If the rain holds off until lunch tomorrow im gonna get out. How was the catching?
  6. Yes just south of there.
  7. Just got off the phone with the Corp. as of this post, the open ramps on the lake are Baxter, Viola, Mill Creek, and Indian Point. She said with water dropping that more will be opening up. Also mentioned that theres alot of private ramps around the lake that would be worth checking out. Just trying to help guys looking for a ramp.
  8. Great Brandon. Glad you found the place. Sorry i couldnt remmber the name. If you need any help, hollar. Or if you need any treated wood, im sure i have enough to give ya. But with a last name like that, and if your related to the guys at Cowherd Construction off of Republic Rd, im sure you can get plenty.
  9. I agree, but if a person has any common sense about them whatsoever, then they will know not to run wide open. If they do, then obviously they either 1: could care less about themselves or their boat, 2: they have way better eyesight/forward facing sonar than i do. Chances of them hurting anyone else in their venture is slim to zilch, as no one is on th water for the most part. Just odd to me that guys pipe up telling others not to come for a vacation if they plan to get on the water. Never knew you needed to run on plane to fish. Like Vernon said on another post, ive done some pretty, not so smart things in my life, but this not going fishing is no where close to any of those experiences. Putting a boat in on ANY area lake right now, TO ME, is no different than it is any other time, as far as being careful with your surroundings. Back your boat in, pull it off the trailer, go slo to a fishy spot, drop the TM, and have fun. Whats so bad about that in high water? on a side note, i dropped my boat off at Hydro-Tec this morning to get serviced, or i think i would have skipped work and found me one of those fishy spots.
  10. What part of the lake Alex?
  11. Even th guys fishing against him didnt kno him from Adam for the most part. Good to see these young guns keeping the older gents on their toes. Like Poche said " I wish Kevin would retire". Of course he said it in a way so that he wouldnt keep getting beat by him.
  12. You can launch at a few places on TR. Read a few threads from yesterday of guys that went fishing. Rivers are going down fast, so hoping the lake continues. May get a tad of rain tomorrow, maybe an inch, but you will be able to launch. Just because the guys posting above cant/wont launch doesnt mean we are all that way. I fish an aluminum boat for a reason, but my glass never stopped me either. Come on down and enjoy your trip. Weather will be perfect Sat....While your down here, join us for our bass tournament Sat.
  13. Not as good as Siri tho, vernon. I see he lives in Springfield so figured he knows my local directions. Kinda like take a left at the big rock with a point on the top, go 2 miles to the tree with a fork in it, then north to the old red barn thats now brown.
  14. That would have been my dad. He was all about being "propper" with clothing and haircut above the ears. I agree with the rest of your statement wrench.
  15. Ive bought carpet for my last 2 boats at a place just south of Chestnut on Kansas on the east side of the road after you go under the bridge by MUELLERS. its next door to that tint place.
  16. Us "mature" guys refer to them as Richard Simmons shorts, but that was before your time.
  17. Good to see guys getting out. It may take a few warm days like were gonna have tomorrow to push them up, but its going to happen. Congrats on the fish and thanks for the report.
  18. That is great guys. Do it while they are still with us. Both of mine have been gone many years, but the memories still fill my soul. No doubt you 3 are related shockley. You all look alot alike. Nice catches.
  19. Being a bank beater myself, im thinking this additional water will help my fishing style.
  20. Good to have you guys. I have received several calls and texts the past 3 days from guys interested since others have been cancelled. I will be there around 5:00am for registration which ends at 6:30.
  21. He won the event that i watched today.
  22. Glad you guys made it here to fish, and back home safe.
  23. Yet being the key word buddy.
  24. Impressed with how much info Jacob Wheeler shares. He will stop fishing to explain to the viewers what hes doing, and how hes doing it.
