Hope your cam got it too... Made it back home after an amazing trip. I fished my crew pretty hard but they all survived. I know I personally spent over 50 hours on or in the water in a 72hr timespan and that's with some storm and lightning delays... No big fish this trip, but lots of chunky fat rainbows. I finally caught a small brown after the blow up Seth saw. One of only 2 browns brought in. Overall a really great time. Never seen healthier fish. The weather cooperated better than expected, and generation was exceptionally kind to us as well. Few last pics.

I got it bad last year. One got me right in corner of my eye and my eye swelled shut... I got my first bite this year as well last week. Right on top of my thumb and my whole thumb swelled up. I'm in that unlucky camp of folks who swell from their bites. They are awful little buggers. I'd gladly take 5 mosquito bites instead of one gnat bite.

On a brighter note I may actually sleep tonight lol. Oh and shout out to Blake as I used one of his SS jerkbaits and it got it done today!

We hit it hard today. I threw jerks almost the entire time with nothing big to show for it. I broke my phone screen too so limited posting and I'll have to get pics from the others. Maybe @Seth can fill you in on our close encounter with a big brownie. I'll let him tell that story lol. Boated a bunch of fish in both boats, no big ones though. Rain got ugly, got a good soaking a few times as well. Ray did take my pic the other day which came out nice.

Jhoff I'll have to coordinate better with ya. Saw you guys catching them. dpitt it can be tough up there with 3 units and a long rod but I'll see what I can do! We're off again to go get after them while it's not raining

A few more from tonight. Jerk baits were money as usual although I did catch a Walter on an 1/8 sculpin olive head jig. Seth finally got to get out and wade fish with me... we've been tying for years now lol Oh and forgot Seth caught our fist brownie of the weekend. He was a mini Frank with a hump back starting. Cool fish

Well after last night a few of the guys needed some sleep... not sure why. We awoke to the rain, had some breakfast, and decided to go out with some fly rods behind Point Royale since the water was still off. There were sculpin everywhere up there lastnight so I tied on @BilletHead clouser in orange and olive. I got hit on the 2nd cast with a big chunky bow. Proceeded to hook and land a few more on a fast strip until the blew the horn and water started rising. Seth arrived and picked us up and we made a run to the dam with little to show for it in the rain. The wind picked up and Kev stuck a hook in the ol finger so we headed to Phil's and had Duane do the line trick. Worked like a champ. You da man Mr. Doty. We fished the evening after dinner when the wind died down and had an ok jig bite going, not allot of jerk bait action though... Went back out tonight down past outlet one and had good luck with 2 units then 3 units going. Started whacking some big fat bows, and we got 2 bonus Walter's for dinner tonight. Overall another beautiful day on the lake! 2 more hours now and we'll be heading out again. I think I'm gonna take a nap lol

So water was off again tonight. Took some of my first timer buddies out to the shelf by rebar again and we fished up by the Dam. Bite on jerks started off slow but then picked up. Id call it a really good night, but not a great night. We threw a few different flavors of SS606 and some other generic WLures. Same cadence as last night with a super slow presentation and occasional jerk. Had the first casualty too of a white pearl SS606 when Ray had a big one break off 10lb braid... fish was smoking drag and then Bam it was gone. Never got a decent look at it. That white one and the sculpin pattern were the hot tickets. Ray's first time night fishing with me and I think he had 7 or 8 nice solid bows and a smallmouth. My other buddy Kev also caught a keeper walleye that was puking up shad. Again the bows were just absolute tanks. Fought hard and super healthy. Not a single Brownie from any of us. Im still gathering pics from the 6 of us, but here's a few. We are calling it as it's allegedly going to storm tonight and physically we are flat worn out going on about 2 or 3 hours of naps since Wednesday morning. Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day though. Just a fantastic day spent with my boys. Will be back in boats tomorrow.

Come on down Ryan! Supposed to possibly have water off again tonight. They just turned on a bunch. Gonna grab a quick nap to recharge for tonight. Did really well on the flats by point Royale on a 3/32 orange head sculpin. Picked up 10 or so in less than an hour. Other guys were catching too. A rare daytime fish for me lol

Rob stuck a tiny walleye, he'll dump some pics here in a bit. Be caught a white bass too. All rainbows, no brownies...

Multi species

Few more fall to the signature series. Slow retrieve and they are hammering them from below. Lots of little ones but they are all fatty. We're fishing the shelf down past rebar. Brandon had a solid 20in bow that I muffed the picture on... you guys will have to take my word for it...

Off to a good start. Looks like half unit running. They are crushing jerk baits tonight. Fat slobs too. Signature series doing the heavy lifting tonight!

Good times indeed my friend... Well this motley crew is about an hour away. Geno has hit the water already, and hopefully hasn't hooked himself or fallen in lol

Saw these Walters last night and it had me twitching lol... fantastic job. John I told MNtransplant we'd work on getting him out at night to chase the big ones. I promised him I haven't met an ax murderer yet and meeting strangers off the internet at night to go wade in flowing water was totally normal lol still have the teeth marks in my cork too haha
