  1. There have been Royalex canoes for sale in that price point on the saint Louis Craigslist for a while. If that helps.
  2. Thanks for the report. Has the stream changed much since the floods?
  3. Well folks, my search is over. Ended up buying a Lews tournament carbon hs combo. It just felt right in my hand, and has an oversized spool to reduce line twist. Retails at $99 and was marked down to $70 and with a gift card got it for $50. Now let's just fhope it stands the test of time. Thank again for the advice.
  4. Thanks for the feedback fellas. I'm not sure if I'm ready to spend the extra $100 on the stradic just yet, even though I'd like to. As far as the pflueger president, I've heard they are junk and I've heard they are great, so a little hesitant to pull the trigger on that. Still open to other options.
  5. That's the plan Gavin. This is mainly just me scouting out new waters that I have not fished. Going to bounce around and see what I get to cooperate with me. I'm looking to explore some new territory year.
  6. I'm in a very similar situation. My Abu has been great for 4-5 years, wanting something new. To correct my original post, I'm asking about the team KVD not the tour KVD.
  7. In going to make my first ever trip to the bourbeuse this week. I will be wading, which I know will limit the fishable water. I plan on mainly using crawfish pattern cranks and plastics, as well as spinner/buzzbaitz. I expect the fish will mostly be in the lower to mid water columns, and very little visibility. Just wanted to see if anyone has any advice for a bourbeuse virgin. Also, would it be worth it to target catfish if all else fails? Thanks,-Mike
  8. I've found myself in the market for a new spinning reel. I was wondering if anyone has experience any experience with either the quantum accurist or the quantum tour KVD spinning reels? I'll most be wading and floating so want something that can take an occasional dip.
  9. I have a feeling that the first batch you have available, is going to sell out immediately. Hopefully thisthread serves as preordering.
  10. Put me on the list of I'd like to pay for some of those. Been reading about them for far too long cannot eait to try them for myself.
  11. Beautiful fish. Amazing week of reports from the meramec
  12. Beautiful fish
  13. I put it off for too long, I just joined at the 2 year level.
  14. Holy $#!+. My only thought at the moment
  15. Good introduction to missouri smallmouth fishing. I bet he was happy, I know I would be.
  16. I've struggled with this as well. I've been trying to relearn this after 8 or so years of only using spinning gear. I can use it, but just don't have the confidence that I feel with my spinning gear. That being said, there is only one way to get back on a horse.
  17. Put in at Pulltite on sunday floated about 15 miles before setting up camp on a perfect gravel bar. Spent less time fishing than I'd of liked due to having to paddle the canoe with all of the gear. Caught 6 smallmouth 13-17 inch range below round spring. All came on 1/4 buzzwait. There were not many people on the water which seemed pretty strange considering the holiday. Monday floated the last 12 miles down to two rivers. I hooked up with something really big and brown above jerktail, before losing it. It felt huge. Overall, I wish I could have fished more but spending the night on a gravel bar in the ozarks can't be beat. Sorry for no pictures, I'm gonna have to figure out how take fish selfies some day.
  18. Plans have been finalized, floating from Pulltite to Two Rivers. I will make a report when I get back. Thanks for all of the feedback.

Is it possible to maybe get a gofundme or Kickstarter to get these in mass production? Because I would love to pay for some.
  20. Nice fish smalliebigs. It's been a great year on the Huzzah and Meramec, atleast for me. Good size and numbers and all but one trip. Those crawls look nice, hope to get my hands on them one day. Thanks for the report. Pics of the livery canoe got a good laugh.
  21. Hey Al, would you mind elaborating on your tackle box idea?
  22. Wow, class five makes some really nice canoes. I'? I'm going to be in the market for a canoe soon, and that might just be the middle ground of the too expensive for my budget royalex, and the too heavy poly canoes. Thanks siusaluki
  23. Thanks for recommending Stars Upstream, by Leonard Hall. I'm about half way through and haven't been able to put it down. The pictures he paints with his words make it possible to visualize the rivers, plant life, and geology. The history lessons make me able imagine the what is was like before the Current river watershed was protected.
