Nice catch and pretty fish. Fished up around point 23 last year and it was productive back in an area that had a lot of tree stumps in it.

Problem i found with a starter was connections where dirty..We put a new starter on my son's Merc and it did the same thing wouldnt turn fast enough to engage, so we pulled all the battery cables off and cleaned them with a wire brush on a drill and they had some kind of white oxidation on them. We put the cable back on and it worked great, so you may want to check all your grounds and positives on the motor......looking at them they didnt look dirty.....just my 2 cents...

Nice job!! I was going to go out today but didnt wana put up with the wind and i hadnt had my motor running since last year as i put boat back together last night in the dark, better to be safe than sorry.....lol

I understand that it was so foggy they didnt see each other until they hit.. I dont like doing weekends as a rule, i prefer weekdays but i went back to work for awhile now. You need to get on water ways in Florida on holidays and weekends...oh my!!

Picked up 3 STX tonight from Walmart at 7.49 a piece ...pro blue...Herring bone chartreuse...purple flash...didnt see the black star dust shad...

Use to fish them on the flats(saltwater) in Florida for catching trout, we would put a dude( small jig)on the back of it for a trailer, they where very productive. I have an old one on my boat key for a key floater the hooks have rusted off and the screws are rusted out.

Rick Clunn "worked in collaboration" with Luck E Strike on basically all their cranks/hardbaits. He has his RC STX, RC Squarebills, RC Smoothie mid depth crank and RC Freak deep diver. I've only ever tried the STX and none of the others. Only models that I've seen at Wally World are the RC Squarebills. Im going to try and pick some up this weekend....for some reason my tackle bag keeps getting bigger...lol...hope to be on the water Sunday although i dont like doing weekends

RC STX is a Rick Clunn endorsed lure..Walmart has them for 7.49 each i think.

I sure am glad that campbell point is going to have boat slips for boats 26 foot and up cause now i will have a place to dock my 28 foot bass boat.. I see more tackle to buy in the very very near future....lol i use to use a rapala top water stick bait in Florida all the time and always caught fish on them and the hula popper also.
