Thinking about fishing there this weekend. It is a pretty good investment for me. I will be looking for walleye. I hope to find a stripe or two. I won't go down there if it's not pretty good fishing. I don't know the lake so I need all the help I can get. Judging by the maps and a suggestion from a friend, the Pontiac area looks good but I don't know?? Thanks

There are years that trolling seems to work well, this year seems to be one. This is not my favorite way to fish but hey if it works I'm in. I have seen a couple folks on Stockton pulling planer boards, questions.. Do they work well? How do they work at night on the flats? Do you need heavier gear to pull them? Do you have a favorite brand? Feel free to add any pertinent info. Thanks all.

Thanks guys. The only trouble we are having is getting out early. Then we could get some numbers. That will change on the next outing.

Got to a late start again, but we had fun trolling crankbaits in the heat of the day, we were thankful for our canopy for sure. All the fish were small but the smiles were big, that's what matters to me. There were tons of small bass catfish and drum along with these in the pic's.

I don't want to sound mean, but when I was there the last two Saturdays there were people swimming (young kids too with parents) right next to the out houses with an obvious high water mark near the door knob. The outhouse was locked, you can guess why. I was thinking "Anyone hear of hepatitis, ecoli, and dysentery?" Come on parents ! I am done now.
