  1. Thank you !
  2. I should have been more clear, I would take the screen off and plug the outside intake, the water would never make it into the boat, unless there is a hole, crack or bad seal somewhere. It wouldn't be a permanent fix but it might get you through the day. It might allow a guy to run some fuel out too.
  3. A question if you have time,

I have a 2003 tracker pro V with a 75 hp 2 stroke tracker/merc motor. It seemed a little cold blooded this winter, and it was time to replace the pump ( preventative maintenance), so I did a pump replacement and changed plugs fuel filter fuel lines, and prime bulb. It might be a little better but still not great.

I hope I don't have to crack into the carbs, any suggestions?

One other thing, I have a trolling flap, I have done some trolling with the motor, I don't do much any more, is this bad for the motor, or could slow trolling with a 2 stroke some how cause it to be cold natured?

    Thank you,

    Dan H

Diagnosing any issue begins with a compression test, then an ignition output test.  If both those tests indicate "good" then it has to be a fuel system issue (pump, primer, carbs, or intake reed valves).

      Thank you, for your time.

  4. I would just plug the live well inlet and get back to the fish, might salvage the day. I fish in the cold a lot, I have an extra plug in the boat just in case something freezes an busts. I sure hope it doesn't you never know.
  5. Very cool, great job ! We found some suspended 45 ft in 75 ft of water, they were deep up north. I guess I am buying an a rig.
  6. I have never used nano, I use a double uni for braid to whatever.
  7. I would throw it in a bed, catch a fish , take a picture. I bet it would work right now. You might have to attach a couple pinchers, or an eye or two, maybe a shirt.
  8. I guess I will have to start shooting, comorants from the boat. Sounds like a good hillbilly sport...I wonder if they are good to eat??
  9. Thanks everybody !
  10. Tough day, but we had fun.
  11. Had to look it up, duh. They are on the banks but slow for me.
  12. That was cool !
  13. Check out Jerry Routh on youtube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBKQM6wDVF6KxbYGrmccZZQ He is literally the guy that wrote the book on collectible lures. He also claims to have invented the forward dressed hook. This is one of my favorites
  14. That looks really fun, what a great day!
  15. I think I like this answer the best, and it puts food on my table. Think about this too, in regard to the length limit..what lake in the above mentioned comment would give a fisherman the best chance to take a limit of walleye home ? My money is on Stockton. I don't know if it is just me but I seem to be catching bigger fish. Maybe I have eaten my way through some of the 17 inchers. interesting discussion, every time
  16. I think that it is about time for a slot limit on walleye , at least for a couple years, just to see what would happen. As far as a big catch lmt out has it right if I every get a big one, you will hear my hoop'n and holler'n for sure ! One of the OFA members sent me a picture of a 31 incher that he caught from Stockton, now wouldn't that be something?
  17. Thank you buddy, I have dodged it for a while, I keep saying and thinking, "I'm not getting it ", I guess pride comes before the fall. I think I am on the other side of it now. There are some really good fish being caught, have you noticed the increase in size? I myself seem to find more 20" fish. I think that is great for a little stocked pond in SW Mo. I am still looking for my 30" walleye. I know you got very close to that in the summer.
  18. Very nice to both. I have been down with the crud.
  19. Nice! Looking forward to more posts from you.
  20. Hey RPS did you try that evening jerk bait bite yet? Gold and chrome.
  21. When I get a sponsor I will wear one, until then shorts and flip flops, maybe a weird hat this year, just to be different....well more different.
  22. I'm 49...I never say I am "older"... 3 less mouths to feed. I am "fewer"
