  1. Hey that's my fish ! That's just not right, no really great job AWESOME !
  2. I will go ahead and say it...Theses values that we have forgotten started with our knowledge of God. Even my foul mouthed father took us to church and taught us to not curse around women and children. and to say yes sir and no sir and so on. You don't learn reverence in school. The farther away from God we get the worse we get. We are just too smart to keep God around. Hey look we got off topic again It's wrong to cheat too.
  3. I would be interested in goggle eye, good eating. Love those smallies ! Great pic's the water looks good.
  4. You are right the rock piles would be a good thing to know. Thanks for the post
  5. Yes it is right, there was over 1/2 the vid that got scrapped due to the low lighting. I lightened it up as much as possible when I edited it. I can enhance it some more on Youtube, but I figured it was OK as is. As the sun went down the bite was on but when darkness set in it was over, like flipping a switch, very fun !
  6. That is a beauty ! It's all right if you don't have a boat for a while, I will come down and you can teach me a thing or three. I too am recovering from something at the moment, it will be a little while before I can go. I will send this to a couple people too.
  7. That makes me NOT want to fish the Rock any more. I would hate to bring those things to my Stockton. I know you can wash them out but still. YUCK Some of the best walleye and smallmouth fisheries are covered in mussels, and people fish a lot of cheaper jigs there too. Well maybe that last comment isn't substantiated but I would
  8. That is what it is all about. You mentioned snakes, last week I ran across a cottonmouth sunning, it was ready to shed, so it was defensive. Anyone floating should be extra careful where they place hands and feet. A poorly placed hand on a limb or log jam could make for a really bad float trip. After they shed they will probably see you 1st. I am sure everyone knows this. If you didn't now you do
  9. Thank you guys for the complements. I like to know what the environment looks like around different Missouri forage, so that was my motivation for this little movie, and this location is a new one for me, it was odd where they were growing. Not an open location, very tangled, which my have contributed to the small size. Almost all were uniformly small even the dry ones.
  10. Yep run fast they love it ! I have a grandson that is 7. Don't even get out of the car if he is playing with the dogs, they love that kid. It will be on like donkey kong !
  11. Those are some fatties. Great job !
  12. oodlesiggy That is great ! It is funny how a walleye makes people smile.
  13. That's not bad. I will put it on my bucket list. I have never fished the hard water either. I have an uncle that lives in Minnesota, I might try that some winter too. It looks productive on TV.
  14. It would be fun ! I think it would enrich our fishing experience.
  15. Hammer Time Thanks for the suggestions, I will work on the talk thing for sure. Mike I was using a Berkley Twitch Tail color smelt, with with an orange 3/8oz jig head. I wasn't what you would call trolling just kind of creeping around 1/2 mile an hour or nothing. I was hiding the remote in my pocket because I broke the lanyard off of it. The white bass were after the minnows like crazy !
  16. This is what I have found. Where you think there should be cover there usually is already some near there.
  17. I think the Masterbaiter had a truck or van too. Used to laugh about it. The theft thing drives me crazy. If you go on my place at night you will be met by a couple of rottweilers. Good luck they run 35 mph and can crack the back of an armadillo with one bite.
  18. I think we should get together for a couple "search and destroy" walleye trips. Bullshoals would be a good one to do that on. We could learn a lot in one day if we could spread out to find productive areas. Devils lake is out of my budget, but good luck. Can't wait for the pic's
  19. Great job, and pic's I have been out of town
  20. I am a little late with this, but to the creek and river floater be careful when approaching brush piles and banks. This snake was nearing it's shedding time and was defensive. A poorly placed a hand or foot would have made for a bad day. Picked up 34 mushrooms after the snake siting. That was a good thing !
  21. lmt out nice job I all most tried the bouncers out monday. Thanks for the report
  22. Holy cow ! really try hard to keep my boat clean but it does not look new, good but not new. I guess I would rather be fishing than cleaning. I wish I could be that meticulous. The ice in the worm box is the ticket for me too.
  23. Hello Phil,

I saw your Wednesday fishing report. I thought I might be able to help. A friend and I fish TR for crappie near Viola and found all they would bite on was a red head, blue body, white tail 1/16 oz marabouĀ jig. I thew 1/2 of my tackle box at them, I caught 3 he caught over 50. I hope this helps. If you try it down there let me know if it works.
