  1. Bouncing and spooning after church.
  2. Here you go friend 10/17/15 1st attempt at table rock walleye we were happy to say the least, we caught about 50 bass it was fun. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SrU4umeEvJ8
  3. I have learned a lot from everyone here. I appreciate all the help for sure.
  4. Well this is my walleye year, so I guess that is my objective. I fished similarly (vertically jigging) to what you spoke of and yes they were on the bottom. The bass were a byproduct of my walleye fishing, the spoon had to fall through them to get in the walleye zone. I hope that helps. A week before a friend and I caught 5 and 2 keepers in 1 1/2 hours on bottom bouncers. There does seem to be a location combination - i.e. rocks trees etc.. They are very localized. I am still looking for the big one and having a great time doing it !
  5. Nope vertical spooning, I am tell you it was fun !
  6. I am learning to catch walleye on this lake, but I also got in to a bunch of spotted bass. This link only shows 1/2 of the bass I caught, it was some fast action for a while. 27 FOW.
  7. Still catching walleye, but the range is a little wider now 18-35 FOW. My wife and I took 5 home today, fished from 2pm - 6pm 15"-18". BB and spinners
  8. have you ever found eggs in them this early. caught 5 on table rock , kept 2 one had eggs. she was 20" long.
  9. Let me know if anyone is selling their lowrance hds gen 2 or better. I could be interested if the price is right.
  10. Fished in one area all day, found a small spot in 14-25 FOW that produced 5 walleye all between 16 1/2 and 20 inches, took 2 home 18" & 20". We also caught about 50 spotted bass just under the 15 mark, and that many large bluegill. We caught the walleye between 1pm and 2:30pm then they all disappeared. Also the large one had eggs ?? weird !
  11. Thanks going to tablerock sat. for the big one. We will see.
  12. Thanks for the help
  13. I fish Stockton a lot ,but I was thinking about trying some walleye fishing on Tablerock. I have seen some pics and heard a few stories about fish well over 20". Does anyone have any info on the general area that I should be looking at. I hate to make a dry run. Thanks
  14. The wife and I took 5 out of 11 home 15 1/2 - 17 1/2. caught a lot of other stuff, kind'a slow for us. Didn't get on the water until 10 am.
  15. I am not sure about the dam (rocks), but there are a few flats in that area. Try areas that are 20ish FOW next to the main channel . If I say any more I will be giving up a good spot. I will be there tomorrow too. Somewhere
  16. That is the nice thing about this site we are all thinking about new things. We can try them all and then get together here and talk about what works. I say let's try all of them. I am going to try one of those $8 flat raps behind a bouncer and see what happens. I did catch a 16" on a berkley twichtail and a 1/4 jig slow drifting in 18 FOW. I will be there this weekend hopefully.
  17. night crawler on a floating jighead works, but I have watch a suspended walleye go from 12' to 18' after a crawler spinner harness. it must be the vibration/flash.
  18. Mine had holes from a whale tail so no love lost. I probably would had a problem with drilling holes in my outboard, but I use the flap a lot now, like every time I go out.
  19. Caught a limit of 4, 1 @ 15, 3 @ 16 18 - 24 FOW The pink spinner strikes again !
  20. I have a trolling flap. http://www.davisnet.com/marine/products/list_marine.asp?grp=mo2 I can go 1 mph, before the flap the slowest I could go was 3 mph. My boat is not real heavy 2003 Tracker 17 pro V WT.
  21. I have the steering wheel tied because the motor will creep over to one side sometimes, it might be because of the trolling flap I use. ( it was windy, if I let the big motor do the pushing and the trolling motor do the steering even in the wind I can easily troll all day one one charge) I went with the 24 volt.( it will pull my boat over 3 mph) As I said I read a lot and did not come up with any good reason why I needed three batteries. I will tell you this, if I had to do it again I think I would buy the saltwater model, it does not have a foot pedal, you don't need one. Let me know if you want to take a closer look and maybe we can have a good reason to go to the lake. I need all the reasons I can get !
  22. Caught 10 walleye by myself lost a keeper put 3 in the boat 2 @ 17" and 1, 18". Fished a bunch of places. All came on pink tiger spinners and bouncers.
  23. I got the motor guide. It claims a much tighter spot lock and I run lowrance depth finders, but after some painstaking research I think both are great. You can't go wrong with either. I have a you tube video if you want to view it, just google my name it should come up. I am trolling at 1 mph with the outboard while letting the trolling motor do the steering. It has a course lock feature which is awesome. I had lots buyers remorse, but it quickly goes away the more you use and learn what you can do.
