  1. Very nice read thanks. You and rps would get along pretty well I bet.
  2. From what i hear Table Rock is good. You should try your skills down there.
  3. Try the bottom bouncer ?
  4. Thanks everybody. I don't wear one either. I have seen the silicone rings. I am not sure she would go for it. As for me , I have worked some sort of construction or factory work my whole life after a couple close calls, the ring came off. I really don't think my wife is worried about anyone picking up on this ugly duck.
  5. To all of us who wear a ring... You might want to take them off before jumping out of the boat. It was a hot day on Stockton, my family decided to do some swimming. My wife entered the water by sliding from the gunwale of the boat. Her wedding rings caught the gunwale tie down. She still has a finger with skin on it, but by the time I set her broken finger and cut her rings off, she was not happy. The bone above the first knuckle was broken. and had 3 more radial fractures according to the doctor. The doc said I did a good job, there was nothing he could do, just a splint. The bad....She is a massage therapist. The good...We are still married. One more suggestion...act fast, when setting a finger, Never ask for permission, just do it. At the end one the day I am blessed with a wife who can only slap me with one hand for 6 weeks or so. Oh I did catch a couple fish too
  6. Wow awesome !
  7. i would love to get my grandson on the whites. Nice work
  8. I agree that is a full grown crappie for sure!
  9. I think the first shallow bank on right south of Bridgeport is gravel. There is lots of gravel down there.
  10. Binks spoons binkspoons.com
  11. I like braid but you can for sure pull a hook right through a crappie if you are not careful. Not so much with mono. I am staying with braid I am just more careful.
  12. I just bought some cheap clip on line counters from ebay. They have good reviews about $6 each measures in meters. I use the black marker technique. I will let you all know how they work. I am still going to keep my black marker though.
  13. Blue tiger #7 flicker shad or glass shad. 1.7 to 2 mph. Let a bunch of line out. 100ft or so. Cross over some point at 12 to 15 ft deep. That should get you fishing. Try new stuff and drive over different kinds of structure and brush. You can probably figure it out from there. Good luck ! P.S. buy a lure retiever, it will pay for it self pretty quick.
  14. I am almost 50. I still love it when I can fish with any one of my uncle's. I alway consided it an honor to be invited. I am sure he loved it. I am the uncle now, so I feel your pain.
  15. I think that I will wait to go to BS after the kids get off the lake and back in school. We should still try to fish together some time, and work and area over. Good luck, I hope to see your posts
  16. I found a place, where there were so many sub keep bass I had to move. I can't tell you how many spots like the smaller one I caught. It was really making me mad. Danged old bass There was shad everywhere.
  17. All a bear is, is a giant raccoon that can rip the door off the barn to get whatever it wants. You think stray dog can mess with the trash wait until the bears get here.
  18. It takes some practice. Everybody does it different 0.7 to 1.2 is the mph. I let some line out hit the bottom, get the boat moving at the correct speed then lower the pole from time to time just to check the bottom, some folks drag it the whole I don't, but I do like to stay what I think is a couple inches off of it. I fish the hard places so learning how to control speed and depth is the key. RPS fishes BB in the timber, I call that talent !
  19. This is the byproduct of my walleye fishing. Evidently I need more walleye fishing practice.
  20. I think he talking about a crawler harness with a slow death hook. The blades come in the same color a flicker shad. I have a couple and yes the name threw me off too.
  21. Wow nice !! A little cooler I would guess.
  22. Sweet ! What lake ?
