  1. Ha Ha ! I thought man if I hooked a spoonbill on a harness, I'd be thinking this was the state record walleye ! That's just not right.
  2. There's one for the memory book !
  3. What the heck??Did you snag it?
  4. Sold my 17' skeeter, bought a 17'6" deep v dual console to help fight the wind. Not fast but it works well and 15 mph wind is no big deal. 15 mph is normal wind for Stockton..... I think Stockton is where wind comes from. There is a reason for all the sailboats
  5. That would be interesting. Most of April is booked for me.
  6. Nope, jerk bait , the whites hit the same one.
  7. Yes, but for the record I need a picture for April. Then I hope to put a slide show for all the months. What an awesome year ! I have learned a lot. This is my second attempt. I sure hope we will all get to meet sometime.
  8. When you come to Stockton you had better be ready to fish in the in wind. It makes the fishing better...I least that's what I make myself believe.
  9. This counts for my March walleye. I was trying to get one from Stockton in every month. Thank you all for the nice comments. I think a boat might be a disadvantage right now. I missed that walleye 4 times before I could get a hook in him, and another one like it. They were very shallow, like 4 feet from the bank. I also found a nice scatter rap in the brush too. Pretty good weekend !
  10. After Church, Steve and I did not want the trouble of a boat so we tried some banks fishing for whites and walleye. I could not ask for a better friend, or a better Sunday.
  11. Tell me about it ! "No boat needed Ben" He probably just uses a hook, no bait !
  12. Thank you, I used to fish that stretch when I was young, might have to go back.
  13. I am thinking of the right end of the lake, yes? Walnut Springs is a common name for a couple other place too.
  14. Man that was great stuff !
  15. Is there another way to determine the sex other than eggs? I guess I figured that they would have eggs, but I really don't know much about crappie and you can tell by how I fish for them. Ha HA My buddy Steve a crappie catching dude for sure
  16. McCord Bend area ? Is that the right walnut springs?
  17. On the bank, in the lay downs, temp 56 to 60. Water temp seemed to fluctuate drastically with the wind.
  18. Looks like there are a couple big walleye under them Stockton is the same in some places.
  19. I went fishing with my friend Steve to try out his new boat hardware. Found some nice crappies. 11 to 14 inches only 2 were female, they were the 2 smallest. I get schooled every time I fish with Steve.
  20. Really nice, always great pic's. I hope the average size walleye is going up from 17 to 20. That would be good. Did the walleye seem to have eggs? It looks spawned out.
  21. I did, I am not sure if they will do it again. I was a multi-species thing. It was fun, there were some great anglers there. Like Phil said we ate, it was good. It was HOT I think July.
  22. I don't know but it would be fun, I would love to see what you more experienced walleye fisherman catch. Maybe all of us could do a charity thing?
  23. Looks like a great day, I see a walleye in there ! I hope to get into some whites with my grandson. Thank you for the info.
  24. I know you are right ! When the fish start biting, we should be able to take off work and not get in trouble. You know like a sick day, call it a "fish day". I hope to get my boat maintenance finished, help my friend mount he new hardware on his boat, be on the water Saturday.
