  1. Marty, it's too depressing.
  2. Took my 16 yo grandson out for his first round of trap. The little fart broke the first clay he ever shot at and hit over 50% of the rest. He out shot me!! Now he wants to go dove hunting with me. I'm a very proud grandpa!
  3. Were they running 35 mw like they said they were going to? What lures or flies if you care to share?
  4. They have been running 35 mw increasing to two to four units in the heat of the day. Personally I won't fish when they're running any water at all, but you may not be as picky as I am. I live in Nixa, so I can run down there on a moments notice. Good luck.
  5. Fish a harvester midge in the c&r stream, under an indicator.
  6. I was wading just below the dam. I promise pictures next time. Same thing my facebook friends said. Lots of people down there, but everyone had room.
  7. Fished the lake for a few hours this morning. Got 14. Had six between 15 and 19 inches and had a lot bigger one break me off, midges, olive wooly and the most on a sculpin.
  8. 10' for ease of mending, 3 wt for enjoying the fight.
  9. Fished at Rolf today and caught only 4. 1 on a nitro caddis, 2 on a prince and 1 on a Czech nymph. River is running about 700 cfs and just a little stained.
  10. River of Life Farm is at the falls and will let you on their place for a fee or rent you a canoe. Google them.
  11. I am .missing a 10' 3wt fly rod and reel. Last time I remember having it was between outlets 1 and 2 on Taneyomo. The rod is a Hook and Hackle xi series and the reel is (I think) an Okuma, not sure about the reel. If found please all or text 417-459-0107. Thanks, Russ

  13. My 10' 3wt fly rod and reel have come up missing. It's a Hook and Hackle XI rod and I think an Okuma reel, not sure about the reel. The last time I remember having it was between outlets 1 and 2 on Taneycomo. If found please call or text 417-459-0107. Thanks, Russ.
  14. have fished the lake the last 2 Friday nights. 18 a week ago and 17 last night. Most fish have been over 16", on various colors of leeches.
  15. Fished Taney today for a few hours. My favorite midges let me down but I redeemed myself with a Partridge and orange and a hologaphic green crackleback. Only got 10 but 3 were over 16". Had to go to 7x tippet and had a few breakoffs.
  16. Got the call from my oncologist today with the news that all my tests and scans for lymphoma were negative. Praise God and thank you for all your prayers. Just have to go to barnes in St. Louis for the final consult. Russ
  17. My auto mechanic went to Rockaway Beach just to look around and noticed the big fishing dock there. He is wondering if the fishing is any good there. Any body got any information about it? Methods, bait, etc. Thanks.
  18. Fished for a couple hours Monday. Caught 17, all rainbows, 2 16"ers. Had to keep switching midge colors to keep them interested. The lake wasn't nearly as crowded as I thought it would be, except for the outlets, which I never fish. The lake is clearing up nicely.
  19. Yes, the North Fork of the White is running pretty high.
  20. I was diagnosed today with lymphoma. I will know more after I see the oncologist. Please pray for me.
  21. Nice report, and thanks for the call, Marty.
  22. I called the dam yesterday and he said they had divers down working on the dam. Hence the shut off.
  23. I went to the eye doctor yesterday and he indentified a spot on my right eye as cancer. Please pray for me as I go in for surgery on 17 May. Thanks, Russ
  24. Next time you catch a big one, measure the girth as well as the length. There is a formula, lengthxgirthxgirth/900= weight.
  25. Fished the lake for a couple hours Wednesday and ended up with 19 rainbows including a 16"er and a 20"er, all on a harvester midge. The 20"er was beautifully colored. Boy the lake is dingy! Talked to Chuck a couple weeks ago and he said Table Rock is dingy as well. Anybody got any idea how long this will last?
