I don't think we're going to charge any more for barbless...

That's a problem... I can't get them completely down and I know of ppl who have gotten tickets because of a single stran of wool.

We're coming out with a barbless version of our jigs shortly. I want to get down there and try them out.

Did you fish any of the barbless areas? Or don't they still have barbless areas on the NF?

I am planning on floating. Using a jon boat.

I see guides catching fish on night crawlers off points... but I bet that's about it. But I don't fish for bass...

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and strength. And love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus said these were the greatest commandments. Even if you're not "religious", it's not a bad place to start. Even if you don't believe in a god, you still have to recognize creation, life and be thankful in some way. And through that lens, we are to see that man is part of that creation, a very special part. The Word says we are created in His image. I'm not smart enough to parse that out... but compared to the rest of creation, humans are set completely apart, different. So I guess what I'm saying is that if we have a reverence for the Creator and we recognize our fellow man as His special creation, then we should treat our neighbor as such.

Would a jon boat be too big for this section of river?

We’ve had private discussions about this. I don’t use a hammer when driving home my worldview. Again, I won’t argue them online. I show my worldview in how I live, how I treat ppl. As far as being a great human…. I’m not. I have many faults.

Got a PM from @Terrierman this morning about resigning as moderator. I thought that was strange.... so I checked the forum. Wow! Alot happened while I slept. I'm not passing judgement on any one person in particular. Just like all the blow-ups we've had in the past, they blow over, although I think grudges remain between certain members. Alot has to do with their worldview slant and how they clash. The question is - how do you treat your fellow man? With respect, even though you might not agree with him? Or contempt, because they don't see things like you do? I tend to be a very forgiving person. My beliefs are very black and white but how I manage them differs from most ppl. I really don't like to debate online because it's too impersonal. I'd love to discuss politics and religion face to face. Some of the things said in the locked thread were pretty over the top personal attacks and I would advise not continuing. I understand Ness's foul language, although it took reading a couple of pages before I got it. Sorry I wasn't around to delete it As for news, I listen to Brett Baier, Jake Trapper and Wolf Blitzer. And PBS news hour sometimes.

No. They're all lake rainbows.

Fished last evening. Lookout to the narrows. 2 units. Pink hopper along the bluff. 8 takes. 6 landed rainbows. 2 over 20! It’s going to be a fun fall run!

There were a couple of rainbows chasing smolt I saw that I really didn't want to hook! We've seen them longer than 40 inches in that river - some real live horses.

Maybe they only hatch once in a while... like the cicadas.

I've also been seeing a lot of big Japanese beetle-looking bugs, but these are triple the size of what I usually see. I wonder if they'd work... someone showed me a half dz jbugs they found in a rainbow's gut back in June.
