I told my buddy to take his kid to Dry Run Creek. He called me a week later and said WTH? Kid slaughters em in Dry Run and then didn’t catch any in the river. In fact hasn’t caught anything like dry run since. Worst mistake he ever made.
Get a game cam out there. I had a patio deer party one night. 56 of them sitting around my patio like it was a BBQ. I just blink camera's out front too.
The foxes in my backyard had a den under a guys porch up the street.
That's because you're getting older.
You think this place is tough, don't joke around with people on the Nextdoor App, they'll complain and get you kicked off.
Back when this place started I never imagined it would grow like this so I just popped in a name concerning the big controversy at the time. Snagging trout in the outlets. Back then it was really just focused on Taney.
Right now I'm busy checking my trail cameras out in the back of the house. Some people on the Nextdoor app are certain they have seen a cougar down the street chasing deer. I gotta get that on camera!!!! But unfortunately I don't trust soccer mom's. Seedy bunch of women!
I still don't think it that's bad. But I think the fishing pressure is way higher today than back in the 80's. We used to fish down there and rarely see anyone and if we did they came out of the park a few hundred yards and that's about it. Maybe the fishing pressure currently is about the same but I think it's due to the pressure previously that led the demise of the fishery.
It’s like Christmas dinner. Everyone knows aunt Mary has on clown makeup, a bad wig and too much perfume. But if you SAY it I crack up laughing and say “Dude you’re ate up😂”
Never gave it much thought or consideration. But making a blanket statement that they are rapist is pretty out there. Society as a whole was much dirtier and disease ridden back then. They were also a lot younger as parents than we are today. My great grandma was married and gave birth at 16 but that is unheard of today.
Someone always catches some lunkers. Pictures have even shown up here.
About seeing no trout activity. A few years ago they reported the stockings but the trucks hadn’t actually gotten there yet.
Good luck. It’s a great program for a winter day of fishing without the long drive.
