  1. Gioias on the hill. Salam de testa. See the "Our Story" section. It's delightful with a cold Bud or red wine. https://www.gioiasdeli.com/
  2. After reading this I did some research. I guess it should be outside??
  3. Get in line for a hot salami at G. We keep the tree in the bay window.
  4. Bought it in the spring from a Japanese lady with a van on the side of the road. She had some big ones that she wanted up to $800 each. Seems to be doing well.
  5. In the frig. Sorry we had a couple rolls out for a snack.
  6. Mine is the same as every year. Get out as much as I can considering family and work life. laissez les bon temps rouler!
  7. A year? Doesn’t Bambi’s dad get shot in the movie??
  8. Mine is a stray that lives in the culvert out back. Don’t know how it lives there when it gets blown out with rain water regularly. Don’t know where it came from but it’s been back there for three years.
  9. Just happen to have a long pink one on hand
  10. Side note on my 1752. With a swing away tongue on the trailer it fits in my suburban garage. When I talk to guys with bigger aluminum jet rigs the biggest and really only complaint I hear is they are too heavy to dig out alone.
  11. That's a nice stick though
  12. I was in the same situation as Troutguy when I got mine. I love to fish tail waters but I also wanted to go to small lakes and Ozark streams. Went with a 1752 and 60/40 jet and love it. I've had on it the Meramec, big, Gnade and even the MO River. Also plenty of tail water time in it and even Tablerock along with some smaller lakes in IL. It's a great fishing platform for what I do. It's not much more boat than a 1648 but it fishes two guys better I think.
  13. Chris at Troutt insisted I put a whale tail on and if I didn't like it he would take off. I had been running without one for probably 3 months. I'm glad I did it. I can run on plane slower than without it. Never hurts to beach it and take a walk up the shoal before you just run it blind. Saved me a lot of issues. I'm with Blazerman. It's like wading streams while fishing. It's not if you will fall in, but when.
  14. Daughter is making a holiday run to the Hill today. That and today is her B-day. Bread from Amighetti, Salami and mortadella from Volpi, a panattone and cookies from Missouri bakery and wines from vivianos. I bought some 8 year aged cheddar from a guy from WI at the Oktoberfest this year. Unbelievable.
  15. Me either. Who knows?? Well I guess those two fellas that got busted know.
  16. No I don't. Don't care either. It's what I got. Yeah prime beef from Costco. Love it.
  17. Sorry. It's a resort owned by Johnny Morris at Tablerock that features lodge style cabins. Every one of them has stuffed animals or some sort. Just like you said, commercial places don't shoot them they buy them for "the look"
  18. Well yeah and the same company owns Big Cedar.
  19. Unlike Wrench, I'm perfectly adapted to my environment. Grew up and still live in the burbs. You get your groceries locally your way and I get mine my way locally. I buy meat from the local butcher shop and it's local, no antibiotics or BGH. As near as anyone can guarantee I guess. I get beef from a different guy than I do pork or chicken. It would be difficult to live off the land around my house and then throw in still work a full time job. Poultry for lunch!! Gobble, gobble. Boars Head. Like everyday for the past 30 years plus.
  20. You could afford a new jet if you supplied them to Big Cedar. They have them in every cabin, building and restaurant.
  21. Gonna eat some more of it later today.
