  1. I burnt the pizza rolls but I'm having pot stickers for dinner. How about a Chinese thread? One name comes to mind, PF Changs. Snagged likes his Kung-pao spicey! And I guess I'll duck now. SIO3
  2. Yeah Dano, that's what I'm talkin about. I think all the kids now run them because there is Ronny Grisanti's and one off Poplar in the Embassy Suites, I think is just called Grisanti's. RPS, The Hill is an Italian neighborhood in St. Louis, MO. If you're ever in town go there for dinner, you won't regret eating at any of the places. SIO3
  3. Dino's!! That's it. A good lasagna and glass of red wine after fishing in cold weather. Can't beat it. Haven't been to the Atrium. Man you guys take your eats seriously. I remember the mexican thread, watch out!! I travel to Memphis alot and down there they have a family called Grisantti's (sp?). Very good!! Okay that's it, I'm having pizza rolls for lunch. SIO3
  4. No problem Ollie. Favazza's!! Been a while, I'll have to hit it again soon. Yeah F2F, it's nice being able to eat down there frequently. Milos ain't bad either, for a bar. SIO3
  5. No organs for me. Grew up eating them and didn't really like it then, so wouldn't order it now. I like a place that changes the offerings. I've been close to going into Pappa's but it just dind't happen. Alot of times I'm at the mercy of clients or the boss. Gavin, I think we have a mutual friend. Maxlinespeed? SIO3
  6. I'll second Trattoria and Lorenzo's but I haven't tried the other places. Yet. Thanks Gavin. Ever try Tony's in Alton IL? Old school, but they are famous for their beef pepperloin, and it is good! In fact that's all I've eaten there. SIO3
  7. Man!!! I didn't think I would have to duck after a simple comment about a place. Maybe the Pasta House Co's out of town are run differently, but Kim Tucci here in town runs a decent place. I said "nothing over the top". Last week alone I ate at Cunetto's and Amighetti's, both on The Hill. I eat on The Hill at least every other week if not every week. Zia's, Gitto's, Gianni's, Rigazzi's, all of them. I only bring this up because I also eat at Past House on Olive Road near the hospital when I visit my dad and I've never had a bad experience. I've been eating at Past House for years and never had a bad experience at any of them here in town. Nothing special, decent prices, consistant. I like that place east of Mountain Home on 62. I can't think of the name. Fire away, SIO3
  8. Sounds good to me Jim. When you do that with redfish they call it redfish on the halfshell. Sandy's on the halfshell? White's on the halfshell? SIO3
  9. If it's the same company that started here in St. Louis you can't wrong. Consistent, quality and good prices. Nothing over the top, just good traditional Italian food. SIO3
  10. I knew it was close to Warren but thought it was still St. Charles. I've fished it, on and off, over the years and it is a great lake. That's a beauty. SIO3
  11. I understand the pic problem, but that's a nice fish. Is this Lake Sherwood in St. Charles County? SIO3
  12. I believe 5 flood gates are open. I'm sure Phil can tell us what's up. SIO3
  13. I found the place, it's called Saltwater Edge. Me and the guy from New York were the first two guys they took out fly fishing. They were doing light tackle and were just starting to get into fly fishing. My buddy went up there the next year and said pictures of me were all over the shop from that trip. The owner told him we were the first to catch fish on a fly on one of their charters. They were real nice folks but I don't know if it's the same owners now. That was around 12 years a go, or more, I guess. http://www.saltwateredge.com/ The trips were quite a bit cheaper back then. The shore trips look interesting. SIO3
  14. Hey timsfly First, congrats!! I saltwater fished out of Newport and it was awesome. Narragansett Bay is where we fished. I can't remember the shop but they were located in downtown Newport, shouldn't be hard to find. They even hooked me up with a guy from New York to share the charter. We caught Stripers and bluefish untill I put the rod down and told the captain I'd had enough. We literally caught fish every cast for 8 hours. Had a couple on that were real brutes in the 30 lb range but most were schoolies around 6 to 8 pouinds. It was a blast. SIO3
  15. Thanks Leonard I thought I slipped by when noboby was lookin. I went to a party last night and all I heard was "Man your'e gettin old" SIO3
  16. Hey D n A I think Dry Run is flooded and likely to stay that way for a while. Looks like the water is up to the bottom of the walking bridge over Dry Run. Check out this site before you head there. http://flyfishingarkansasandmissouri.yuku....ood-photos.html Good luck but stay safe, SIO3
  17. I've fished with the gates open and we used 1/4 ounce white jigs on 10 lb flouro. We had a heck of a day. SIO3
  18. Water's high enough now that I'm thinking about snaggin some spoony's. SIo3
  19. Hey 2sets I like SJW's since my driveway is covered with worms. I hate to report though that generation has increased to 2 full units after raining all day. I found out why I never really got along with my neighbors, one is a shuffler and the other is keeping more than his limit. SIO3
  20. It's been raining here in St. Charles all night and the culvert behind my house has one unit running. SIO3
