Either of those would be better for me than Memorial Weekend. I would like the weekend before Memorial so it's cooler at night to camp. As soon I make plans something will come up. It's like the guy in the dam watching me get ready to fish, then flip the generators on. SIO3

My buddy and I drove down from St. Lou to find the Norfork OFF! We went to Woodsman's and secured a canoe and shuttle to the dam. We were beside ourselves at the thought of being the first to fish McClellan's since Jan. 1. We saw John Wilson at Blue Ribbon fly shop and he said few if anybody had the chance to fish McC's on low water since the dreaded closing. We paddled straight to it and started at the hole in front of the field. We were alone and had the whole area to ourselves. We were giddy with excitement at the thought of picking that place apart without interference from other's. We caught fish on every cast with buggers. I mean "every cast" My buddy commented that the only cast he didn't catch one on, was when he had a strike and pulled it away from the fish. Guy in the dam saw us, cranked up two units and the party was over in 45 minutes. I almost cried right there. We saw JW when we paddled out and needless to say it didn't take long to get to the confluence.

I'm in. If my job and family don't get in the way like the previous outing. SIO3.

As kids we used em for either fly or spin. When you put a spinning reel on the 7 footer you can cast a marabou jig a mile. Fishes em great too. I might have to stop in at Wallyworld in Mountain Home myself this weekend. SIO3

Hey Mallard. I'm headed out tonight. We're leaving St. Lou and driving to either Taney or Norfork to trout fish this weekend. We're bringing our white bass stuff to try a little of that also. PRobably hit Beaver, Swan maybe NFOW. Wherever we get the feeling to go that's where we're headed. Maybe a hybrid will be taken? One can only hope. SIO3.

Hey Randall. I live in St. Charles and used to go to Pond Fort occasionally with a buddy who kept his Bittany there. It was great. We used to shoot the Sporting Clays league there in the evening. Now it's a subdivision. SIO3.

No I haven't but I have heard of Sioux Passage Park. Some hills are closed that we used to go. You know, liability issues and all that. Art Hill in Forest Park is big but the slope isn't that great. There is a hill in Forest Park we used to call Suicide but I heard they don't let you sled on it anymore. This hill was awesome. SIO3

I'm back. 200 feet, 40 degree incline of ice covered hill. Day with the daughter, PRICELESS. I mean that was one great hill. It's called Bum's Hollow in Blanchette Park. It's a 3 sided bowl and it's fast right now. 26 degrees today and once the new fallen snow got blown off it was ice and it was FAST!!!!!!!!!! Daddy that was the best day of my 8 year old life. Moma went cripple on the first run when she hit an unexpected bump and bruised her tail bone. I walked up that hill 40 times. It was awesome. A real gut-check when you crest the top of the hill. Heard the famous saying "watch this" several times. Some dads just don't know they're not teenagers anymore. I recommend the inner tube, much easier on the old bones. SIO3

I'm taking my 8 year old daughter out to the best rated sled riding hill in the St. Louis Metro area. If you don't hear back from me it because I'm probably in the hospital with a broken something or another. IT's rated 4 out of 5 stars. I'm in trouble and I'm scared. SIO3.

Hey MW You won't have a problem getting to the dam this year if they keep generating like they are now. The generation chart is pinned to the top of Taneycomo forum so you can check it whenever you want. I wouldn't discount using crawdad cranks, but if you look at Phil's latest fishing report in the Taney section a white jig wouldn't hurt ya. SIO3

I'm trying to get down there Sunday and Monday. Weather looks great. Black Yukon. I'll be by myself so if somebody wants to hook up let me know. I might put my OAF sticker on my back or stop in and get a hat from Phil. Are there any left? Pete.
