  2. I just drove home and all the ponds out here are frozen, so I don't dee how Busch would be any different. With a high of 27 I say we wait another week and see if we get a thaw. If I get time I'll drive over and see if it's frozen. It may thaw tomorrow but a high in the 20's will harden it up Saturday. SIO3
  3. I was thinking Saturday but the high is only forecast to be 27. Sunday the high is "supposed" to be 40 but I can only get away for a couple hours Sunday. SIO3
  4. Are the lakes frozen? Anybody know? Hey Pat, or anybody else for that matter, I'd think about going this weekend if you want? SIO3
  5. Nice Brian!! Does Tucker know you posted it here before you put it on his site? SIO3
  6. Go to the public access below Tablerock dam near the Shepard of the hills Hatchery. You can't miss it. Fishes the same as The White below Bull. Only with a lot more people to help you. SIO3
  7. Pat I'm pickin up what you're layin down. I smell what you're steppin in. Is that a BWL trout from this year or last? Last year the overall size was much bigger than this years. More than a few years ago they stocked all browns and they were very good size trout for urban fishing. I never had one chance to use that line since I got it. It's not jinxed or something is it? In fact since I got it, we've had record flooding and I couldn't get away to fish like I normally do. You're not a cajun are you? I went through the voodoo shop in the quarter and they got some serious stuff in there. I'll see what's up the next few days and try to make it over there with you. SIO3
  8. Thanks for the report Pat. You say "Mostly stockers." I live out here in St. Charles and go to Busch a lot. Is there anything but stockers in the lakes? I've heard "tails" of big fish, but never saw a pic, or better yet the fish, to prove it. SIO3
  9. Hi thom It looks like you're from my neck of the woods. I haven't decided on Taney or Mountain Home yet. I might not make the call till I get around Rolla tomorrow morning. Good luck. SIO3
  10. Leonard Got it, back at ya. SIO3
  11. I was talking about Fri-Sun. But if I lived anywhere near a trout stream I'd be there tomorrow. After watching my 10 year old open presents and read from an Advent book. Then it would be FISH ON!! Good luck! SIO3
  12. I was wondering if anybody is headed out this weekend trout fishing? I'm thinking of a loner mission to Mountain Home. I can't find anybody willing to go. Sleeping in the truck and fishing all day. Chime in. SIO3
  13. Hey guys I was reading this post and I've got a somewhat related question. Speaking of mothballs, would they leave enough scent behind to put trout off of the fly tied with materials stored in them? In other words, the materials are stored with mothballs, and you tie up a fly, would trout detect it and refuse the fly? My dad has a fly tying bench to give me but it litterally stinks from all the mothballs he has kept in it over many years. Are the materials shot? I wouldn't think it would affect dry flies but the materials used for nymphs would stink of mothballs and trout most certainly would smell it. What about if I threw out all of his stuff, would the remaining smell infect my materials? It's a nice bench but it stinks of mothballs. I appreciate any thoughts. SIO3
  14. I listed this bike on Craigslist but thought, what the heck, I'll list it here too. Would be a great Xmas gift. 20 inch girls bicycle, purple with pink streamers. Bought it last year at the bike shop, not a discount brand. Currently sells for $139.99. It has aluminum wheels and it's very light weight. This is a bike shop quality bicycle. Like new condition, kept in garage, $60.00 Located in St. Charles Mo. SIO3
  15. I work in the seismic protection industry. We manufacture, sell and install base isolation platforms for computer data centers and heavy power equipment around the world. Some companies insist on it, while others take a wait and see attitude. When your dealing with a companies data you would think they would be proactive but some are not. Once the equipment is damaged you not anly lose the equipment but you also lose all the information. Think of a company like Mastercard where they do millions of transactions an hour. Or the human genome project where the data is almost priceless. It just depends on management. One of our biggest customers is a casino operator. I think its funny that a company in the gambling and odds business doesn't take chances betting against earthquakes. At home, the best thing you can do is strap your hotwater heater to wall studs and install flexible gas and water lines to it. All gas appliances should have flexible tubing installed. These two things will save you from fire and water damage. SIO3
  16. I can't wait to see the bigfoot pics!!!! SIO3
  17. How about them St. Louis Rams!!!!
  18. First off, thank you Grace for your work. It's the best news about the Norfork since they outlawed dragging chain. Second, I don't think the fact that some guys fishing around the O2 injector, and didn't catch fish, has anything to do with the viability of the system. I'm curious about your answers to Phil's questions and also the data you collected during your test. I say "NO" to minimun flow until the O2 problem is addressed. Thanks again for your work. When the report is ready, I'd like to see it. SIO3
  19. Bill It's on the Ozark Anglers web page. Click on Ozark Anglers logo in the top, left corner of this page. SIO3
  20. "Without giving too much away I think I can say for the both of us that we came away from this trip with more than we thought we would" You didn't spoon-up with Matt at night did ya ??!!! SIO3
  21. Nice Matt!! I can't wait for the final production. I totally agree about Missouri trout fishing. That's why we see so many out of state tags throughout the ozarks. SIO3
  22. Now that's a good report!!! Thanks Phil. SIO3
  23. I like the idea of a 4 day trip but how much fishing did you actually do? 1200 miles and 27 hours in 4 days doesn't leave much time to fish all those areas. But, you can bet I'll be tuned in to see the final report. Nice!!! SIO3
