  1. Pretty sure that work would be there Monday if ya fished Sunday Ya only live once.
  2. The good news is...I'm sick. Which means I should be fine by this weekend! Planning to be there and look forward to meeting SOME of ya Weather looks to be decent so far. Haven't been out since last Thursday. but had a nice limit in 3 hours then.
  3. It sure seems like Merc has 70%+ market share as well...I'm guessing if another manufacturer had that we would hear a lot more issues on that brand as well. The other 30% is split between Yamaha and Evinrude and occasional Suzuki it seems.
  4. I hope I never have to post a thread like this, I feel for ya man!
  5. How many RPM were you running when it happened?
  6. I've had several in my life, but I'm done with them inside. The messes they create and the money they cost me wasn't really worth it looking back, mostly had labs. Let's not even talk about the hair in the carpet, vents, blankets, food....etc! When this ones gone we are done with animals in the house, already making the switch to hard floors and sweeping / vacuuming daily in the new place. Here lately she decided to start smelling like Doritos? Been to the groomer for shampoo and shave, that helped for a week at best. I can't imagine what carpet holds. But, sorry for your loss!
  7. I swear by this line on spinning set-ups, give it a try and let us know what you think. http://www.berkley-fishing.com/berkley-line-monofilament-berkley-solutions/berkley-solutions-mono/1290570.html
  8. Leave your man card at the door on your way out
  9. Just looked it up, adults have a 6' to 12' wingspan...dats nuts.
  10. Saw a pair in the Glaize 2 days ago, man they are big.
  11. Extremely subjective. Would need pics of boat and wife to make informed decision on this one.
  12. Planning on it, yes. There was talk of a get together someplace afterwards did that ever get decided?
  13. I'm too comfy with the boat on a lift out my back door. Only time it gets trailered is if it needs to go to a mechanic. Sounds like a great time, and hope to meet some of ya here in a few weeks at PB2.
  14. I've never heard a lot of things said. Was just looking for some feedback on a line of products that has been around for a long time and sharing my opinion. I don't mind kinky, unless were talking fishing line.
  15. Ya, the hot water works, until you make your first cast into 35* water Like I said, never tried any of the Reel Magic type "line conditioners" until now, and was as disappointed as I expected to be,
  16. Have never tried them before, bought the KVD version for like 8 bucks and couldn't be more disappointed. Supposed to help eliminate memory and lessen ice build up. Followed the instructions and notice ZERO difference, even on 4lb test. Anybody used one that seemed to help? I think it's a gimmick.
  17. I share the passion and concern. I've been fishing LOZ for 30+ yrs. I actually think tournament pressure was worse in the 90's up until the crash around 05. I'm still not seeing the boat numbers in some of the circuits we did back then, maybe there's more choices now but back then lots of tournaments were hundreds of boats, there's only a handful that top 100 now. We have seen the population maintain and thrive through multiple generations of fish, assuming they live 15 yrs. The tournament pressure is not new.
  18. Kind of my point...where were all those big fish caught recently between the 6mm and dam released? Alhonna? Coffman? Shawnee? Those 3 combined don't see near the release rate as PB2, and yet the Glaize bite never compares to the lower end in the cold water. LOZ is amazing in it's ability to sustain the fishery. Could it be better? I'm sure it could, but then it already gets enough pressure. I expect the same issue this spring for the BBB also with bedding fish. I live within a couple miles of PB2, trust me, it bums me out when I catch a 5lb fish with it's bottom jaw flesh ripped open from a cull pin used as a handle.
  19. It cost my family of five 2 hundo just to get in, ya a bit steep. $300+ after snacks and drinks. I would have rather dropped that shopping
  20. You want the buoy on the left? I'll take the one on the right. I should be able to fish this as long as the boats not iced into the dock. Is there anything on the rules that says you can't put the fish back in your livewell and release them where you choose? Hell I followed a live release trailer away from weigh in a couple weeks ago and them boys jumped on Hwy 54 with it?
  21. We can all speculate, and there's no denying thousands of fish are relocated every year but the big bags for the past 2 months have been coming from nowhere really close to "that" or "those" areas.
  22. Tatula's are all I throw, have a dozen of them and this has never happened. I'm guessing your hand is in contact with that side plate during the cast, and your turning it without knowing it.
  23. Talked with Rick, the owner at the Joe Bass Tourney this past weekend on LOZ. Great guy, but I think I prefer the Jig Skinz products personally. Crank Wraps are better if you want to make quick changes on the water.
