  1. Location?
  2. Just went out for a quick 2 hr trip. Caught maybe 6 black and 6 white bass all schooling on points in larger coves. The whites were all good sized, blacks mostly dinks.
  3. My best is only 18", about 20yrs ago on a very small stream. even more memorable although not very big was my son' first smallie he caught from the same creek last year.
  4. Pick an arm to fish and stay in that area. The Glaize usually isn't bad, or fish above Hurricane Deck and you have a few options for weigh in sites. Avoid the main lake and it's not bad in October.
  5. I just can't buy a pair of glasses with out trying them and seeing how they "feel" glws!
  6. Hmmm, I did not experience that at all. It's a large tournament yes, but there is almost a mile of shoreline for every boat entered.
  7. Well it is already a registered vessel by the current owner, so I have paperwork either way it sounds like. I have to file for a cancellation through the coast guard to be able to get state numbers for it...it's actually quite a mess I think. I really like my bass boat
  8. I don't know the difference. I was told I wouldn't have to pay sales tax, but the gov could take my 12 seater family boat if needed in an emergency! lol.
  9. Location?
  10. I would have went out for an hour, but 2 boats in the shop right now
  11. 20 yrs ago not many had GPS on their boats.
  12. Redfishin LA is hard to beat for numbers but give me a big ol Florida red anyday! They just grow em bigger a little further west.
  13. Wow
  14. It's crazy with all the brush, cover and structure in this lake that the fish use the crossbars and cables but they do. We think the algae grows on them attracting bait fish.
  15. I've actually been catching them on points finally. Just roll across it a couple times with your graph if it doesn't look good move on. If ya like what ya see toss a shaky head and worm or jig at em and then a few passes with a crankbait before ya leave. If your lucky you'll get several before they shut down. Fish over 3.5 are scarce.
  16. Interested in a couple of these, location?
  17. I'm hearing a lot of people complaining about them more and more. My lifts are the flat poly tanks they love to hide under the boats and have lunch leaving behind the carcasses.
  18. It is a GREAT reel for $60.00
  19. #skinnyassfish. For over 20"ers
  20. One last night just after dark and another around 7 this morning. Shaky head, trick worm, docks, shallow.
  21. I have also had issues with Shimano's. I have 2 Daiwa Revros a 3000 and 4000 and the 3000 flat has taken a beating including a month in salt fishing the gulf last winter and has not skipped a beat. It's whats in my hands 90% of the time on LOZ with 30lb J Braid and a 12-15lb leader.
  22. I caught 13 bass off one point yesterday, I would get over the school on my graph and just pitch out to them in 18' of water and wait for the tug. Not one keeper!
  23. It sure didn't today, for me anyway.
  24. sounds right, farther north and east you go they had much less rain. Looks like the upper lake got clobbered with 8" inches, 3-5 was pretty widespread.
  25. Was on the water in the Glaize from 8 to noon there's a lot of debris floating. I was shocked when I woke up how much the lake rose...releasing 50,000 CFM now so holding steady. I just hope Truman doesnt turn into chocolate milk again LOZ was just getting a good color after the spring flood.
