  1. Nice, beats the heck out of sitting here at my desk weather your catching any or not. Those are sure nice bonuses though!!!!
  2. Oh I hear, I can do the easy stuff like Jig or Texas rig with the best of them, Its just figuring everything else out and when to throw what.
  3. Every time I go to a lake to Bass fish it is a new lake to me.....No matter how many times Ive been there. I soppose if I spent more time trying to understand it and focusing on it I would be much better at it. I just find it hard to shy away from crappie/walleye when it puts food I love on the table. LOL Don't get me wrong, I enjoy bass fishing from time to time but I am just not to good at it yet.
  4. i wish I could but Im pretty sure I looked and am either working that day or I have the USA Bassin event that I Agreed to fish with a good buddy of mine from work. I commited to it here a while back that id fish that series with him out of his boat. And i have never even been up to Pomme so I would be completely lost on the water up there. I will be at more of the tournaments for sure this year though. I had a good time!!
  5. Extremely hard to read. Not sure if hes been reading the same threads as I have but i see nowhere at all that any one has done anything "offensive" to Bassfisher at all, maybe just giving you a little crap bc of the spell check thing but my God, everyone on here at one point or another has done that and taken it like a champ!!!!! LOL, and Ketchup, I can assure you, NO ONE was blasting Anywhere last week! Lol I know my boat took a beating in that wind.
  6. Had a great time finally putting some faces to the names up there. We didn't fare quite as well. Only had maybe 30 fish or so and only 2 keepers. All in all we had fun and will be doing it again with you guys soon hopefully. We wont be able to make it to the Pomme Event because of work that weekend but should be able to make it down to TRL for the following one and again back up to Stockton. Look forward to seeing you guys again. And to the other boat who caught the bonus walleye, I didn't skip out on you, I got back down to the boat and my buddy said he was going to go ahead and fillet him out for supper. Sorry about that... LOL
  7. We did fish in googer on Tuesday evening for a little bit. We were not there tues morning though. And Dan, we fished with Bob Bennet who several people recomended. He had a great set up but the fishing was tough. We had buddies up there also with the same problems that day
  8. Time with my father beats the fish but it's def a great bonus!!
  9. Sounds good, thank you. I will be there. Lots of pressure from the boss to cut it short and come home but 1 more night can't hurt, right?
  10. Was mostly successful. The only real bad day was Tuesday and like clockwork that's the day we had a guide. Tough trip, 1 walleye was it with the guide and 1 afterwords and a few scattered crappie. Totals for Sunday night-Thursday was 103 crappie and 19 walleye keepers. 3 people. Mostly fished road runner jigs with curly tail grubs in 2-10 ft of water.
  11. Gentlemen, is the tourney still on and if so exactly what times Is it from. Also, how many boats are expect with this kind of weather. I am wanting to fish this but also I am camping at Mutton Creek this week and all my company left this morning. So if it's not worth it I may pack up and head south myself. Any replys would be greatly appreciated. I got on a few bass in the Rain today but only tried a little bit of cranking. I had planned on airing today to prefish but I may just be going into this thing blind. Lol
  12. Do you guys all prefer the slow death hooks or just the regular hooks that come with spinning rigs themselves? If so do you guys cut off the old ones and put new ones on or do you just by the whole rig itself. How much difference do you all noticed. Ive never used the actuall slow death rigs or hooks.
  13. So what do you prefer to throw at a bass when you see one either crusing next to the beds or on the beds themselves, male or females even.
  14. Beautiful fish, musta slammed that SB, hope there is a quality SB bite down near the mutton/RB area next week. Good Times
  15. Lol, correct, I fished south Dakota fisheries for years before I moved here, just seeing favorite colors here as opposed to there. Favs used to be perch and fire tiger colors up there, still trying new things here.
  16. Just a couple questions for everyone to get some opinions, I'm gonna try to do a little BBing this week and was just curious on everybody favorite styles of spinners for this, IE...color, or single/double hook. 2nd, I'm also going to be doing a Very Little Bass fishing. Is the a Spinner bait bite on Stockton right now?
  17. That's exactly what I'm going to do, Ill be up all week staying at Mutton Creek doing our yearly Crappie/Walleye fishing trip. Dad leaves on Friday so itll just be me up there so I thought itd be fun to fish something new. He cant throw for bass all week so ill be in the dark as for what to do but I'm good with that. If any ones around mutton creek feel free to say Hey, we will be in my Red Bass Tracker Targa
  18. Nice recruiting tool, I will be there for sure on the 22nd at Stockton. Really looking forward to it. I should even make a couple on the rock also. May not have the fastest boat but at least I may fit in a little better. I took mine to a few bass tournys and it was a little out of place getting blown by. Better off just to leave last with my 90 HP on the ole Targa.
  19. I know its a couple weeks early but how many boats you guys normally expect to have for this tournament on Stockton? I will be there to fish this for the first time and am greatly looking forward to it and to meeting a lot of you guys in person. Is there any special rules for this or baits that are not permitted. Also is the entry fee a per boat or per person?
  20. Ok guys, Ive been following this thread and it has pretty much turned into a wobble head topic. I had a buddy I pre fished with for a tourney he had and he wanted me to throw this thing. I never had a single bite on it mostly I'm sure because ive never thrown it and really don't have a clue how to. We caught a lot of fish on those days with everything else in close to the same areas so I know there were fish there. Can any body fill me in on how to work this thing.

  22. Thank you very much for the info. I've already purchased the TRD Baits in the two colors and also a package of the Z man finesse mushroom Jig heads just to give it a try. If I enjoy throwing it I will definitely try the zinkerz baits next.
  23. So all you ned freaks, if a guy like me has bought 2 TRD colors, which are my 2 go to with everything else, green pumpkin and PB&J, which would you throw on a cloudy day or does the water color dictate it for you guys. I've never thrown one and am thinking of giving it a try this weekend. I've ordered my stuff from stuff and it will be here tomorrow, so I might as well try it.
  24. So there is a Good Ol Boys Buddy Bass Tourny scheduled for April 22nd out of Mutton Creek Marina, I am going to be camping down there all week fishing crappie/walleye and turkey hunting. I believe a buddy and I might even fish this tournament if they let anybody in. I don't know much about it because and bass tourney Ive fished has been on TRL. Could anybody give me all the information on this so we might be able to attend. It sounds like a pretty good time even if the old Targa will look a little out of place up against all the bass boats. Thank you guys in advance.
  25. I know this is not a monster by any stretch of the imagination but I caught this one on Saturday during the real crappy weather. It is my largest bass from table rock and my 3rd largest bass to date. I am more of a walleye and crappie fisherman but I do enjoy fishing to much to turn down a tournament pre fishing trip with a very good friend. We did well that day and it payed off the next day for him as well. This one was around the 5 # mark and to me thats a solid fish.
