  1. Would you carry the crawfish up and release them? And then watch the small mouth come and get them?
  2. Thanks for sharing Royal!
  3. That sounds like fun! But I like others have other plans. Good luck. I did not go on Friday so it will be next Friday before I go out. I am curious on the top water.
  4. Congrats on 48 years. That is awesome! And for sure if she catches them on top she will surely be hooked. Good luck! I bet it will turn on very soon.
  5. I watched some of it live and he was throwing a buzz bait. He was doing something that I would never think of (which is normal, because I do not think out of the box with fishing stuff). He would cast it out and then drive it back to the boat by leaning this way and that way and I could never tell if he was doing that on purpose or if was just avoiding hitting something. By that I mean was he trying to entice them to hit it by doing that or was it pure necessity.
  6. That might have been the sells pitch I needed to hear to drive up on Friday. I know for sure that the Buzz bait was working on Beaver due to the FLW but, still not sure if TW is quite ready on Tablerock but, its worth a try right? Does anyone have any tips on fishing a buzz bait? Brands or presentation or anything? And for sure I will try the WP?
  7. Thank Bill. I avoid getting wet by climbing in the back of my truck but, sometimes its really hard. I will try you method very soon.
  8. I am with you on the ramp. I will do it but, I don't like it and I never get wet! I should not have said that! Haha.
  9. Thanks sfiser. I went last night for maybe 2 hours or even less out of Prairie Creek and it was chocolate milk to me and I could not get a bite or even a miss. I was trying to fish a buzz bait which I don't fish often and was struggling. That was the pattern that Mccombs won it with on Beaver lake on the FLW this past weekend. I am thinking he was fishing better water than what I was. I never left Prairie Creek.
  10. What keeps you away Quill? Is it the launching part or the water? Just curious since I know or think I am anyways going to fish on Friday. Haha.
  11. Do you think you could launch a boat there? Looks like you might could. How did the water look to you? I have Friday off and I would prefer to fish Tablerock versus Beaver. My options at Beaver would be the Lost Bridge North for my best chance I think. Carl
  12. Muddy, How bad is the water color? Is it fishable and if so where could one launch around Eagle Rock? Carl
  13. Safe travels!
  14. At the FLW on Beaver Scott Canterberry fished the Ned some today and caught a 2 pounder.
  15. Good report! Thanks for sharing.
  16. I wonder how much the mask played into it?
  17. That's funny! That's the second time I have heard that!
  18. The Ned was the ticket for me today. Caught lots of fish including 5 keepers. Probably my best day ever on the Ned. All of that is thanks to those who submit reports on this forum. I learn from everyone. Big big thanks to Quill and Muddy water for making it all happen.
  19. I second that, it was great to meet everyone. Thanks Jeff and Muddy Water for the event and food. The Ned was great for me today. Thanks again for bridging it all together, much appreciated.
  20. Thanks Dave! I thought I would avoid the shipping costs while you were there. I actually have enough for now but, will soon need more.
  21. Dave, Can I buy some Ned heads from you on Saturday? Let me know. Carl

    Thanks for sharing!
  23. I got out Sunday for just a few hours and I caught 2. I mostly throwing a jig because I am learning to fish them but, I caught a nice 2 pounder and then found some or at least one chasing shad in a really narrow pocket in the back of a cove and I threw a top water at him and he hit hard. It was fun! I might go out tonight just for another few hours. Both of mine were in less than a few feet of water and both were in the backs of coves / pockets.
  24. We tried the plopper but they would not hit it. We were fishing Spooks and my buddy also used another walking bait I think it was a KVD Sexy Dawg. And Yeah, top water is the best.
  25. I have fished them both on underspins and unpainted jig heads. Most of them I don't think it matters but sometimes I think the underspin helps. I usually try both. Thanks Champ for the jig head help.
