  1. Thanks I’ll give that a try
  2. I’m using trailer tires. I’m hoping that it’s not something I’m just going to have to deal with. 10,000 miles isn’t many miles to be trashed. I’ll call pecks and see if they can do an alignment on the trailer
  3. Bought my boat used 3 years ago and it’s been wearing tires since I got it. I just had the tires flipped so I could get more life out of them but I’m getting close to needing new ones now so I want to get it fixed. It’s a 2016 triton 18tx basically an rt188. Not sure the exact weight but I’m guessing around 1250 pounds or so
  4. My tires are wearing pretty bad on the outside 3” of the tread on both sides of a single axle trailer. I keep the air pressure at max psi also. Anyone know of a place around Springfield that can do an alignment on it and adjust the axle so when I buy new ones I won’t ruin them too
  5. How much are you wanting for the trolling motor
  6. That mean I could put in there now? Hardly ever fish that arm of the lake and was thinking about trying it. Twice the drive for me so I didn’t want to waste a trip
  7. How low can the lake be and still be able to put in at Aldrich?
  8. How low can the lake be and still be able to put in at Aldrich boat ramp?
  9. They will eat a small piece of worm threaded on a hook. Use to catch a. Bunch as a kid fishing the creeks.
  10. The biggest killer of crappie right now isn’t livescope it’s Facebook. Everyone wants to be a Facebook hero and get their 30 seconds of fame by posting pictures and where they caught their fish or where they saw other people catching fish. Next thing you now there’s 15 to 30 boats beating the crap out of a school. Most people would never take the time to find the fish if they didn’t have them handed to them. You also have the disrespectful boat hunters that see you catch a fish and think that since no one owns the lake they can come join in on the same school you are fishing. Then post it on Facebook and ruin your spot. Had that happen to me this year thanks to some bass fisherman seeing me catching fish, idling out of their way to side image what I was fishing then proceeding to call their buddy’s right beside me. Next thing you know Jeremy lawyer posts where they are and how good it is on Facebook so now the spot is ruined.
  11. Best mount I’ve seen is the all aboard mount. Can run it with the trolling motor and pull the pin and run it separately while spot locked. Pretty cool design.
  12. Winter time I usually drop to 6 pound line to get my jig down faster and go up to 8 when it warms up. Always used mono though haven’t had much luck with fluorocarbon. Seems to get memory and kink up on me with spinning gear. May be the brand I tried though
  13. You will like it. I have a 2500 size shimano ci4 on mine so the combo is as light as possible and I have a great drag for the occasional walleye. By no means necessary but the lighter reel helps you not get fatigued. Caught this one back in November while crappie fishing using the bps 12’ rod
  14. I have them on my boat. I never remove them and just fold them down and turn them so the wind keeps them closed. Haven’t had any issues in 2 years fishing at least 2 to 3 times a week. Figured if they don’t blow off on the lake driving the boat they won’t being hauled either.
  15. Acc crappie stix rods are 5.9 ounces for a 12 foot and I still use the bass pro rod 95 percent of the time if that helps you any. I have an 8 foot outlaw rod and the action is way too flimsy. Don’t know how their 12’ rods are but if they are flimsy like my 8’ then I wouldn’t recommend it. Needs to be fairly stiff to get a good hook set especially in deep water. Just my opinion though everyone fishes differently
  16. No 3 pound crappie but it will boat flip 3 pound drum. It’s got plenty of backbone to boat flip any crappie you are going to catch around here
  17. Not bad for the length and the backbone. You can get lighter rods but they are usually too flimsy to set the hook good in deep water. With the reel on it and your hand in front of the reel it balances so you don’t notice the weight as much. I have a 12’ acc crappie stix and I find myself using the bps rod 90 percent of the time
  18. Basspro crappie maxx pro series rods are hard to beat for the price. It’s just as good as my acc crappie stix and has better guides. Can boat flip 3 pound plus fish and has plenty of sensitivity.
  19. I had my wife’s 10.87 walleye mounted by nature’s image taxidermy on Kearny in Springfield. He does a real good job. He should be completing my 10.93 walleye soon too.
  20. I’d say it’s worth a try. There should be catfish starting to go up river or at least staging in the last deep before heading on up river which at Aldrich is under the bridge
  21. Ya. That last the only plus
  22. On a side note the white bass were biting well that evening. Had 26 between my wife and I using white grubs and I also caught several on an a-rig
  23. Just a shot in the dark but I ended up leaving a rod and reel at Warsaw below the dam on sunday evening 9-2-17 On the east side by the fence. Would really appreciate it if the person that found it would be willing to return it or even sell it back. Was a 6' 9" lews custom pro speed stick with a Diawa Procyon reel 20 pound suffix 832 braid with a black and Crome super spook jr. tied on it.
